Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Happened to visit Nexa Pune yesterday as was passing by so thought of taking a look at the Baleno.

Well to my surprise i felt it to be more premium than the Jazz and most importantly the seats ,front and back felt a lot more comfy and supportive than the Jazz.

Another news is that now they also have a Red CVT Delta for Test drives, it just arrived yesterday itself as per the SA.

Didnt have time for a test drive but cranked the engine and it was super silky .

Waiting period quoted was 3 -4 months depending on the color choice.

Was previously thinking about the Jazz but things have heavily tilted in favor of the Baleno CVT for my Dad.

You mean the fuel gauge is non-linear? It isn't supposed to be so, right?
I shall be doing the tank to tank test as you suggested once I get to drive the car myself.

Can you please tell us which NEXA was this? I have been looking to TD the CVT version, details would be appreciated.

I did not find any such non-linearity on the fuel gauge till date.. However, will try the tank to tank method and confirm myself as well.. My car shows an FE of 18.0. 50:50 for city commute and long distance. AC on all the time..

Now, I have to go and take a TD of the CVT.

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/14/gas-gauge/

My real-life experience and research on the Internet show that fuel guages are designed to be non-linear. Calculating FE based on readings such as "1/2 tank", "1/4 tank", "3/4 tank", "3/5 bars on digital guage", etc., is not reliable. They do not give us correct readings. You can try the full tank method instead.

One in Baner, another in Viman Nagar; apart from Shivaji Nagar one. Will provide my feedback once I TD the CVT.

There is one Nexa on Baner Road. Actually, this is closer to my house (in Aundh).
I am out of Pune till 12 Feb 2016.
I will definitely update with my views!

I was about to opt for the same. But when I calculated the service cost using nexa app and compared with maintenance cost program there was benefit of just 4k

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Has anyone upgraded to fatter rubber yet? Want to receive some views on the changes brought about to the Baleno's drive post upgrade. More importantly, wondering if the problem of the steering not quickly moving to center position, has improved.
