Anyone using BF Goodrich tires on the ScorpioN? How much does the ride firm up after BFG?

The size which would be easily put on would be the fortuner size 265/60R18.

Or maxxis RAZR if anyone has been able to source those in 18 inch size.

I have this. Either doesn't connect to ECU or connects once in a blue moon. Don't know if my unit is faulty or if it is a hit or a miss with these cloned ones.

Has anyone heard or suffered any underbody or DPF tank damage? Or the tyres fouling with the well? Asking from practical usage perspective now that there are enough of the cars on road.

It has got nothing to do with under reporting. Indian govt requires manufacturers to report ground clearance considering the full load capacity of the vehicle. Whereas in most other countries it is measured with no loads. This is is what causes the discrepancy between our numbers and theirs.

Same issue with the Toyota Fortuner GC. The Indian figure is lower than the global figure.

Now if you ask me, 227mm unladen and 187mm with full load is a fantastic ground clearance.

Now only if they could do something about the 3rd row and make it side folding or at least removable??

Many of us buy a Sport Utility Vehicle for Sport as well as Utility. Having the 3rd row take up most of the boot space is very un-utilitarian. In my 1st gen Mhawk 4WD, I had the front facing 3rd row, but these could be easily removable and kept aside with two clamps on either side.

Thanks for explaining. It does seem that many cars continue to be advertised with unladen ground clearance - the GV/Hyryder for example quote 210 mm. It’s also sad that Indian off roaders like Anshuman Bishnoi have found the Scorpio N to lack ground clearance even though the unladen figure is so impressive on paper. I fully agree about the third row situation. Again when I saw the Australian car’s boot with the third row folded it somehow seemed like a cleaner and flatter boot floor than what I recall seeing in the showroom. Maybe the carpeting is different or something. Not sure about this either.

The official Mahindra accessories website m2all lists under body protection for Scorpio N, but not yet started selling, I think.

This change of the flat floor has been implemented on the Indian version from the Jan 23 production. You can read about it further up on this thread. Must have been from customer feed back from abroad.
