As an ex company commander or Indian Army told me "Patience gets you results" , He was in counter insurgency operations, you`ve got to wait, days, weeks to see what you are up against.

Other than carpet, perhaps you can skip all accessories altogether. Spend the money on good insurance and plenty of diesel , just let it rip through the roads.

Many thanks! Would agree as the wait was worth it. All I am getting are mud flaps and the carpet. Said no to everything. Insurance is good and is cashless at the workshop.
Guess I have a solid reason now to just step out and drive whenever I want. But have to save up a little before I can plan any proper trips.

Will pen down a full review once I've collected the machine and put a few kms on it.

To be honest, the time given, was May - July 2024. I was test driving a 2019 2.8Z Crysta when the Mahindra SA started spamming my phone.
Post test drive, I got an absolute shocker of a news. Loaded from Chakan on 25th and ETA was 29th May (today). Dad and I went back, I looked at my finances and it was actually possible to get the N, provided that it is treated as a long term investment.

And here I am. 4WD AT in the flesh:

By the way, this was the Crysta that was on sale:

Many congratulations on the new addition to your family. She's sure a looker. Especially when you turn around while walking away after locking. I'd suggest skip the carpet from Mahindra. Better to invest in 3rd party mats and underbody protection. Mahindra mats are not worth the price, especially the 7D ones.

Thank you so much! I'll first have a look at how those mats are before having them put in my car.

I get between 10 to 11 kpl in heavy city traffic, around 12.x kpl in normal city driving. On the highway its extremely variable. If driven sanely, gets me 14 - 15 kpl but with acceleration bursts and quick overtakes it gets me the same 12.x kpl that I get in light city traffic.

It is still better than what I expected.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

My rear seat assembly to get into the 3rd row is not working since a month. The ASS tried to change the latch and cabling etc and tried for 3 days and have now returned the car stating they will order a replacement seat.

Already have had the speedometer console and a few recalls already. Hope this will be the last of them..

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

I've been facing the following issue with my vehicle.
Model : Z8L MT 4X4

During standstill or at low manouevring speeds whenever I'm turning the steering, I can hear a click click noise coming from the front wheels and sometimes from the rear wheels as well (also when going over speed breakers). I had asked the SA to look into the same, and he said it was normal and proceeded to show me few other vehicles in the workshop (XUV 700 & Scorpio N AT 4X4) with the same noise. The SA went on to give me a vague explanation that the source is the ESP and it should be present.

During test drive or initial 1000 kms there was no such noise from the vehicle. Thus I requested my sales person to confirm if the same was present in his test vehicle after prolonged use. He confirmed that it was present.

Could anyone throw light on this matter? Or if they have faced anything similar?

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Has anyone installed illuminated scuff plates from M&M dealership? Is it always ON or is it only ON when any door is open? The accessory advisor in the dealership I have booked with has no clue, unfortunately.

Please check this thread; a similar setup should be implemented for "N" as well.

Don't get discouraged by the issue but have a thought about it.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Took delivery of “The Big Daddy” Scorpio N Z8L D AT 4XPLOR last week. I have driven the vehicle around 320kms till now and just love it.

Dealership Experience:
————————————
Overall experience with Ananth Mahindra was pretty good. We requested multiple test drives of the vehicle and sales person brought the car home every time. The delivery experience was even better. Vehicle was thoroughly cleaned and polished before we reached the showroom. Required documents were in place as well.

The Big Daddy:
————————-
Likes:
———
1. The massive size, road presence and sitting position.
2. Engine, Transmission and NVH(low).
3. Simple but premium interior with a colour combination.
4. Chilled AC.
5. New flat boot space with BS 6.2 models.
6. Surprisingly easy to drive for a car of this size with good handling.

Dislike:
———-
It’s too early to point out dislikes. However, below are a few observations.
1. Poorly executed auto stop/start function.
2. Extremely laggy Android Auto.

Here are a few clicks of the beast.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

How come only Z8L's are coming with Android Auto? My Z8 doesn't have it and I am not sure when it will come.

Anyone has any updates around this? Thanks.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio-N Review

Facing a lot of issues with Android Auto (both wired and wireless). It is like out of 10 attempts, it will connect randomly once or twice.

Will factory resetting the infotainment system help?
