I think you are overthinking but you are right at your end. Spending so much, you should expect a stain-free interior. Nevertheless, if the SA is removing the stains, then it should be fine. However, with light interiors, these stains are a common sight. I have had them several times, and then I borrow my wife's nail polish remover to get rid of them.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Hello All,

I recently took a journey to Mussoorie on my Hyundai Tucson Diesel AWD, and on a single full tank, I was able to manage the round trip. Here are some stats and pictures. Overall my trip included 65% Highway, 20% City, and 15% Hills. AC was ON the entire journey at 20C

1. Total Trip journey (Round Trip): 889.2Km
2. Total Fuel Cost: 5050/-
3. Total Toll: 1000/-
4. Avg FE: 16.4km/l
5. Avg Speed: Highways 95km/hr, City: 40km/hr, Hills: 25km/hr
6. Total People: 3
7. Luggage: 3 big trolley bags
8. Mode: Economy
9. Fuel Tank Capacity: 60L (54+6 Reserve) I guess

Cruise control was used 50% of the time on the Highway. During the downhill journey, I even noticed FE figures to around 70km/l (couldn't click the picture)

Overtaking on hills, and single-lane highways was a breeze. Overall it was a very comfortable ride with a super silent, powerful, and refined engine, and I am confident on a pure highway trip Tucson can easily cross 1000km on a single tank. I am impressed at the efficiency of such a powerful diesel engine from Hyundai.

That's very impressive. I've taken mine (non AWD) on a Mumbai Pune ride, and the average FE was around 20.5. However, with the exception of a small stretch, its a very flat road. With the curves and the twists on Mussorie roads, I think 16.4 on AWD is very impressive.

I have a question for Tucson folks. Tucson resets the trip reading immediately after you stop the engine and open the door. My Creta would not reset until the engine was stopped and car parked for a few hours. I quite liked that better, as small pit stops would not reset the drive statistics. Is there any way I could switch to that?

Also, For WindShield wipers, Creta had in Intermediate mode, which I loved, as it could be customized to our liking. The Auto mode is sometimes not as frequent as I'd like (though I have set this to highest level). Is there any way we could controls the wiper speeds better?

Hello, I think it has more to do with your unit. I have driven my Tucson around 4000 km and so far ownership has been hassle-free. Maybe raising the issue with Hyundai senior leadership might solve the issue. Regarding FE, I agree with you. In the city's B2B traffic, the FE will be around 11km/l, though it impresses on the highway.

Does anyone know where to source aluminium sporty pedals for Tucson? I have seen some in Amazon, but given the lack of reviews in India and whether or not is it made for the new model preventing me from buying it.

I get 6-7 kmpl in B2B traffic in Delhi on petrol variant. Got abt 12-14 kmpl on NE3.

Sure, will share my experience soon. I took the car out of the city for a longish drive and I couldn’t help but notice how smooth the drive was. I also noticed that we can connect multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time and we can easily switch between them which is super handy.

This is indeed super impressive.

Can anyone recommend good quality mats? I checked online but couldn’t find anything. Thanks in advance.

Hey, Yes Tucson does reset the trip meter immediately, and even I was surprised with this. The best way would be to reset the trip statistics every time we go out for a longer journey. I Hope Hyundai resolves this via a software update.

No controls for the wiper mode too, atleast I could not find it. Though AUTO mode worked fine for my liking during the rains.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

I would like to understand if anyone in this forum (Hyundai Tucson owners) has tried Magsafe car mounts?

I am specifically looking at information on below 2 items

1. Considering our Tucson does not have wireless Apple Car play, i was wondering if we use the Magsafe charger in the car, does the Car play work? do we need to have one more cable to connect iphone (thunderbolt cable)?

2. Any recommended Magsafe car holders?

Note - I own a 2021 (Dec) Tucscon GLS (AWD)

I think the sport pedals that you get aftermarket are universal. Like for my Octavia I had got Razo. Though expensive, it’s very good quality. So you can check some good after market shops.

Tucson has the organ type pedals. I did check out Razo, but only saw suspended pedals and footrest.

I don’t think connecting phone to a MagSafe charger would help automatically connect with CarPlay. You would still need your iPhone to be connected to the USB port on the dashboard.

Btw, i took this image (with edits of course) of the front grill with the lights and love this as my phone’s wallpaper and I thought I’ll share with you all. 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review-img_4800.jpeg

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Hi Riskanuj,

This goes away by filling the problem tyre to say 38 PSI or even 40PSI and drive for about a KM. Once the alarm goes away, the tyre pressure can be brought to the normal 35 (which is what i do when I fill N). Hope this helps.
