As per the dealer in Bangalore, Apple Car Play will be available from March 2025.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Spoke with a Dealer in Hyderabad on availability of vehicles.

1) Regarding Mocha interiors, they are clueless
2) AX3 Manual Transmission has 4 to 5 months wait period as the dispatches have ramped up
3) MX5 RWD is readily available in black colour for immediate delivery!

Hope there would be a positive update in near future on Mocha interior deliveries

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Finally my White Tiger AX7L 4WD AT is arriving in the coming week.
I have planned the alloy and tyre swap, followed by some other functional mods.
I'll share all the updates soon.

Cheers.

Modifiers have already started changing the entire white look to more pleasing colors, here is one reference :

Congratulations on your Roxx. Did you get your vehicle on time, and any changes on your booking page?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Hi Folks, I picked up a Roxx on 8th December, which was also my Hilux's first birthday

Keeping aside the white interiors, M&M has got a good vehicle into the market. I went for AX7L 4x4 AT Stealth black color.

Some accessorisation that was done:

1. Full body PPF from Avery Dennison
2. Legal window glass tinting from Arctic cool
3. Leather protect coating from quartz
4. Mud flaps, door visors, sun shades from M&M
5. Ditch light brackets from Proman

We recently did a 1900km road trip and the car was awesome. Very low passenger fatigue, silent cabin, any type of roads were handled with ease and comfort. The mileage returned was 12.5 kmpl as an average for the trip.

Some known peeves were lack of much storage space, bottle holders etc. in the top-end model. Head unit is slick but is buggy.

Overall, very happy with the Roxx(codenamed Hawk) and it shall put a smile on the face every time you start it!!

Some pictures for your viewing pleasure!!

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Booked on 02/10/24. Promised delivery between 15/11/24 to 30/11/24 by an email from Mahindra. Got call from dealer on 22/01/25 about car being allotted. The Mahindra page shows the booking as 'invoiced'.

Call Tata AIG yourself and get a quote from them. Without many addons you can get 3+3yr insurance for 70,000 while mahindra will quote 60-65K for 3+1yr insurance. I paid 74000 for 3+3yr insurance with tons of addons
Hi,

I called Tata AIG for getting for Thar Roxx Petrol AT 2WD and they shared multiple quotes:
1. ₹87,867 for 3+3 Zero dep. incl. Return to Invoice (RTI), Tyre Secure, consumables, key replacement, loss of personal belongings, repair of glass, rubber, plastic etc.
2. ₹75,599 for 3+3 Zero dep. incl. all above minus RTI and tyre secure
3. ₹49,xxx for 1+3 zero dep incl all in ponit 1.

I might opt for point 2, but wanted a clarification did your policy cover RTI and tyre secure?

You shouldn’t exclude RTI.

Tyre secure can be excluded but I believe its premium would be negligible compared to the total cost.

In short, don’t exclude these 2.

Whether or not you go for 1 or 3 is not so much impactful. If you plan to keep the car for 3 years, go for 1, else for 3

2 months delay in delivery and I’ve heard they haven’t started production of Mocha interiors as yet. What’s wrong with Mahindra ?

Looks good and thank you for sharing. Curious question, doesn't the RTO in general consider these kind of front bumper changes as illegal? Do you think this will lead to challans or the car getting impounded? This is a gray area to me and would like to get your views and from hear from others in this esteemed group.

Not only that, such changes can impact the crumple zone functioning properly as well as deployment of airbags. These are very dangerous mods to make and people do not realize the dangers they are putting themselves up for just for the sake of aesthetics. The maximum I could go is a simple change of front grill to a Jeep style one, the stock grill, which look like ill formed buck teeth, is the only eyesore point about the Roxx. Rest of it looks pretty classy as-is.

I don't have either in my insurance. My car is parked in an underground parking at home and work so from theft pov, I didn't think I really need that.
