Even I am planning film. I don't want anything too dark or suspicious to cops. Also, not very expensive ones.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I got it installed in Rs. 1500/- As I was not interested in spending much high amount on the films.

20 days! I believe all Chevy dealers has got enough stock for Beat in their stockyard. Recently GM had increased the production.

My booking and delivery was supersonic. Booked on 13th May evening, Delivered on 16th May noon - Akshaya Tritiya . Kudos to Metro Chevy, Vasant Kunj & SP Mr.Durgesh.

I had put V-kool on mine 50% UV and HR, 50% visibility. It increases the aesthetic of the car along with more AC efficiency.

I had also gone for Gear Lock (Pin Type), AutoCop Central Locking with Immobilizer and 5th year Warranty.

Now leave all that back and just beat it,

Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it

(With loving memory of Michael Jackson)

Cheers!

Vinu

Garware is a good Indian brand. Cost wise it is VFM. Price ~1200 onwards
Llumar and 3M are some of the good international brands. Both are almost in the same price range. Price ~1700 onwards. May be 3M slightly on the higher side.
V-Kool and Huper Optik are premium brands, but very costly.
I suggest you to have a look at the samples and then decide.
The colour shades and visibility of each brand will be different. I mean- the specification in paper may be same, but the visibility factor will be different across the brands. Ask the dealer to show your selected model on any other vehicle, because the catalogue will have only a small sample strip.
I think you can go for VLT:50% for light shade or VLT:30-35% for slightly darker shade.(have a look at Llumar VLT20 on my Beat in my ownership review thread to have an idea on the visibility factor.)
As per CMVR rules, the limits are - VLT:>70% for front and rear, VLT:>50% for sides.

Salbin, very informative post, thanks!

Yes, since the AC of Beat is awesome, I need it mostly to enhance looks :-D...
I think Garware will do. I think I've seen your ones, its very dark barely legal types

Thanks again!

I have installed garware 30% on my beat for 1500 bucks. The film does its job really well. It is not too dark and does not allow the sun's radiation to seep in. During the night visibility is as clear as plain glass. I'm happy with the film completely.

Only the rear windows since this is a safety feature for child-lock facility.

Just wanted to inform you guy's went in for the first service of the car.

Pickup is no issues now.
They don't have an part in stock for shock-up which they have assured me will change it in a week or so.

SC Auto Corporation - Thane. Over all I am happy with the service.

It is also supposed to lock the rear doors (child lock) apart from disabling to roll-down the rear windows
