A good place for punjabi food is the new joint next to shri krishna in viman nagar and one next to reebok showroom in viman nagar mandir chowk (near Axis ATM).

Barbeque nation is good for non veg and well as veg. (forgot to mention in my list of joints)

There is one new place - Sixth floor, which has opened up near E square - FC road area.
(PS: this is jsut above the Yana sizzlers)

Pretty good food, at even better rates.

Taste is very good. Not too spicy, but has taste and aroma. (mughlai and north indian affair)
Heard that they poached the chef's from Baghban (east street)

Ambiance, looks like they've just opened, and still working on it.

haven't seen anyone mentioning "1000 Oaks" on east street here yet, the food is good and the kebabs better, pretty north indian

sunday they have buffet with unlimited KEBAB and BEER need I say anything more (yes..the cost is 450/-)

Pune Folks..can we plan a sunday lunch planned at 1000 Oaks ?, can someone take the initiative (I am bad at it)

SX4Lover - thanks for covering "Northern Frontier", it is our all time family fav..
"Sigree" sure is good but a little on the higher side to go everyday

lately have been hearing good things about the SHIP, and am thinking to check it out sometime (although is a old joint, and initially I had discounted it)

cheers

Tried Trikaya restaurant in Bawdhan. Located at a stones throw distance from my house and started by some bollywood person and supposedly a good chef named Mr. Limaye. Food was great, Ambience was amazing, they serve pan asian cuisine and their menu is pretty uncluttered. They have an extensive wine and single malt menu. Prices are moderate.

Approximate cost per person without alcohol came to about Rs. 600/-

Yana Sizzlers and Wok at Mariplex have excellent sizzlers.
Read someone mentioning Mathura, it's got Gujju thalis but the BatataWada there is to die for.

During our Pune recent visit, we had our lunch and dinner at Naivedyam, the vegetarian restaurant, and on the next day, breakfast comprising Vada Pav and tea at Joshi Vade Wale located on NH 4 near Ginger Pune, Wakad. The food was good at both the places.

Hey Niks,
Whats the menu you have at your cafe?
Do you have like, full breakfast menu's (I'm thinking in line with the old Cafe Sunrise and the likes..)
Was thinking of stopping by, one of these days, the rainy season calls for long drives to Mulshi side. Wouldnt mind stepping in for a bite!
