Guys my second order from shoppersstop was delivered today. It was a dress for my wife around 2k but they delivered a box of room scents. Anyone else have such an experience with them. This is the second order they've mixed up and I've got no resolution for the first one yet!!

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Aaah..

So it seems when Flipkart said that it would be only accessible via smartphone, it meant that it would be only accessible on smartphone Via the app, and not the mobile website. So in essence, they have only closed the Mobile website (m.flipkart.com).

Silly me, i thought they meant closing of browser website on all platforms.

Oh... I see...

OK, so I missed that point by a mile, got the wrong end of the stick and misunderstood the whole thing!

, very!

But, when it comes to mobile use, isn't the app easier to use than the site?

Whats your feed back on this site. Have just seen it. Sells premium watches - says at a flat discount of 50%. Would love to own a Rolex at 45K.

http://www.eliterage.com/men/watches.html

Any reviews? By the way, I have bought some watches from creationwatches.com and found them to be pretty good and genuine, but have no idea about this one.

Couldn't be faker if they ran a 36-font banner "FAKE WATCHES" across the screen!

A good quality replica costs several times more than the advertised prices, forget originals.

Re: Which watch do you own

Planning to order a Citizen watch from HK / SG. Price is less than 10k INR.

Would it attract Customs duty ? How much ?

Has anyone ordered from outside & what's your experience ?

Ordering anything from HK/China etc via speed post is sure to get stuck at customs. If its via DHL or Fedex there will be some duty, but depends on luck how much it is. It may come through without duty too.

According to this post, ordering from www.creationwatches.com does not attract any customs duty - don't know how true that is though.

Are you planning to order from the same website? If yes, please do post your experience after you get the watch.

Cheers,
Vikram

Re: Which watch do you own

I recall reading a post in this thread which mentioned that the member had to pay duties for the watch shipped from Creation Watches. Suggest browsing back a few pages. The reviews are positive however.

@Vikram, CreationWatches is one site I am looking at.

They say no duty, but duty is imposed by India Customs - hence cant rely on the statement that they put have put out. As pointed by fellow members in earlier pages, duty is imposed on MRP and not invoice price - this will negate some of the discount that these sites offer.

I have earlier picked up a Seiko 5 Automatic from them, but had it shipped to US. The watch is running just fine after 3 years. I have got it serviced once @Ethos here, and Ethos as not said any thing about it not being an authentic Seiko.

@Akshay, thanks ! Good points there. I may end up shipping it to US or SG, depending on the site I buy from.

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Anyone bought anything from Jabong yesterday?

They have a 100% PayTM cashback offer running there from yesterday. I read the T&C last night, they did not include when I would receive the cashback nor the maximum cashback I am entitled to receive. Today, it reads that the maximum cashback is Rs. 150.

I am unable to find a cached version of the page to show to Jabong. Google Cached pages has a page from this morning. While the other websites don't even have a cached version of the page, including WayBack.

Could someone help me out?

I have visited the site on my computer yesterday. Is there any way I can access yesterday's version of the website?

Even if you do find the page, they will not honor it. I recently noticed a mistake on a coupon on shoppersstop.com. When applying it on a discounted dress, it was taking off the whole amount and making the amount zero. I purchased 2 jeans with this coupon for myself but the Jeans wasnt taking it to zero but instead the discount was more than normal.
I tried ordering a designer outfit for my wife, cost was 17k and zero after discount, but the payment page was erroring out.
The guys just cancelled my order of jeans without even informing me and when I called to ask they said the coupon is not valid on this item...simple and issue closed on their end... no policy crap nothing.
