Actually the National treasure franchise was inspired by Indiana Jones franchise, not the other way round.
Earlier Indiana Jones movies focused on supernatural, this focuses on aliens.

Quite enjoyed the new Indie jones. All indiana jones fans will love it.. IMo Indiana jones can t be bad.. Ok agreed its not as good as the last two( Raiders and Last crusaders) .. ( Temple of doom IMO was the only one worth avoiding ),. But the new one was enjoyable never the less. Action sequences and the famous Indie wit and style were excellent.

That is definetly true. National treasure was ( albeit a good attempt) a total rip off of the indiana jones style.

Indiana Jones

Saw the latest Indi movie on Friday night.

Its definitely not as bad as some of the reviews here. Its just that it takes time for us to accept Indiana Jones & the aliens together.

I think aliens & the family drama has put off so many hardcore Indiana Jones fans.

Deserves 3 Stars

cheers:

Watched Shaurya on Saturday. Bought home a cheap Moser Baer DVD

Brillant performance by Kay Kay Menon as the imposing Brigadier Pratap. He gets into the skin of the character. Rahul Bose and Javed Jaffrey are competent as lawyers.

Minisha Lamba is for the glam quotient, but she looks plump with bad make-up.

Deepak Dobriyal (of Omkara fame) plays captain Javed Khan who is under trial for shooting a fellow officer at point-blank range. An actor who is excellent in a small role. His eyes do most of the talking. Dialogue delivery is brilliant.

I would rate this a good 3.5/5.

Why do all these sci-fi type hollywood movies always end with "Aliens Vs Predators Vs Humans" theme? :(

Because Sci-fi topics deals with anything but human. If they pit human vs.human then it is no longer a sci-fi movie

Coming up on Friday is the much awaited sequel to Sarkar - it's called Sarkar Raj.

FDFS - here I come and another off the beaten track movie - Aamir - looks promising - might have to catch both B2B

If its not too personal, may I ask how much you spend on movie tickets in a month?

Final Destination 3 : ***

This one is scary. The death scenes are gruesome to say the least.
The first time i watched 'Final Destination', it had me in shivers while on my way home from the theatre. Years later, the third part manages to evoke the same eerie feeling about various things around you.

P.S. : In the first part, the protagonists manage to cheat death, right? Just trying to remember.

IMHO, Love Story 2050 is going to be a wash out.

Anyways, this weekend has "21" and "Sex and/in The City" also releasing

Aah, I so much love these 1+1 movie ticket offers, esp in Mumbai, where 1-2 normal movie outings can surpass your monthly cellphone bills

Thats one of my fav thrillers of all times. I had watched the entire Final Destination series back to back one night with hostel friends in a dark room. Man that was an awesome experience!

Are you sure it was the movie that scared You! and not a character from the movie? :-P
