I don't bother to convert to DVD at all nowadays and prefer to watch backups on my desktop/laptop. If I do watch the backups on on TV (rare nowadays), I use the video-out of my lappie to feed video to the TV, and the earphone socket of the lappie to feed audio to the HT amp.

Backup to DVD always gives bad results, video-wise, esp. if you later watch ot on your desktop/laptop.

The best option, I feel, is to get a DivX compatible DVD player. But then you should know that I haven't taken my own advice yet, after mulling over this for the past 2 years or so
Thanks Hydra. Yes, I meant video only. My DVD player does get stuck sometimes, so I guess it's better to exchange it now itself for a good DIVX player. Which brand\model would you recommend and how much would it cost?

Saw Snake Eyes and The Rock over the last week.

Both are good action movies, The Rock is better if you compare the two. Sean Connery is awesome!!

Is the Snake Eyes villian the same guy who comes in Terminator 2 ?

The Rock is indeed an awesome movie. The movie has been made in Hindi too starring Ajay Devgan! Another good movie is Derailed. Hindi make - The Train starring our Kisserboy - Emraan

If I have a choice to watch some movies back to back, I would watch the following:

Black Hawk Down
Notting Hill
A Good Year
Top Gun
Behind Enemy lines
Shall we dance
Phone booth

Derailed is an amazing movie, one of the best movies ive ever seen.
Great story and awesome execution and acting. Clive Owen's acting skills are too good. I think all the movies starring him have been amazing movies.

Nitrous, I bought more than 40 DVDs with 100+ movies 1 month back from Burma Bazzaar. I also downloaded 10 movies from Isohunt. Added to that Hydra gave me some classics like The Sting. All in all I have a pretty decent collection at home which will take me atleast 1 year to complete seeing.

Oh man, she truly is desirable. Sayali Bhagat is delicious in her own right, but stands no match to Ms Basra
