@LonelyPlanet & mobike008 : Yes, all the movies have proper coded subtitles, which is hard to find although. I have night watch and day watch in bluray rip's .mkv format which is best to watch it in. Lemme know if you guys need it i have the proper versions of it.
If you have all these movies in a hard drive. Lets plan a meet to copy them. What say?

@Maddy, I have a original DVD with extras of Pulp Fiction which shows how they created the dinner joint " Jack Rabbit Slims" where Uma and John go for dinner.

Every chapter is worth watching again and again. My favorite being John and Sam going for a hit for Brett and gang and secondly the Bonnie Situation. Awesome to the core work

Avatar: Saw it in Imax 3D format on Tuesday. The movie absolutely rocks. The visuals are nothing like ever seen before. Spellbound with the way JC has utilised every details in each scene. The story is a carbon of Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki. So nothing to rave about that, but the way it unfolds on screen is marvellous. Its pathbreaking SFX.
Rating: 9/10.

All in all , from a standalone point, a good movie.
The storyline is not new, David vs Goliath has been told for thousands of years in various forms.
However, I doubt it has been told the way it was told in Avatar.
The love story angle is also nice.
If only the first half was a little less dragged.

If you have a chance, see it in 3-D, otherwise, normal 2-D will also do.
But do not forget to see it, its a movie, which is to be seen!

3.5/5
+1 to that. I would say I was disappointed with the movie except for the visuals.
I don't know if anyone else noticed but I felt parts of the movie were rip-offs.
The mother ship used by humans - reminds me of the UFO from Independence day
The trailer type lab in the mountain - similar to one used in Jurassic park, even they way they airlift it.
The Avatar control - very similar to matrix (in matrix they controlled only software, now improved technology helps control hardware as well )

For me it is Titanic any day, but then again I am not a big fan of sci-fi movies.

I saw it late last night at BIG Cinema - Odeon CP. Will put up a detailed review in a while but I did not enjoy the 3D so guess the hall might be the culprit. Avoid if possible.

Else, PVR ambience mall & select city walk are the other options.

I saw it last week, i would give it a max 2.5/5 . Actually the movie misses the previous Stiffler and his mom.

I caught Avatar on Thursday at Sathyam Cinemas , Chennai. The movie totally wowed me, it left me awestruck in the end.

Well, the 1st half was bit of a drag but 2nd half made it up for all that. 2nd half was just incredible. Lot of wow moments in the movie - this movie is as such much a landmark movie as was Star Wars or Jurassic Park or Matrix when they were released. I liked the subtle messages about humans greed destroying nature. I found the BGM not upto the mark. I thought better score would have further elevated the movie. In the end, Movie is worth penny and I might go again.

saw avatar FD FS in Fame shankar nag Bangalore in 3D
I must say the best film of 2009 by far.
the effort that James Cameron has put in is totally visible. Regarding the story with a movie with such gigantic proportions its very difficult for the Director to satisfy everyone including the critics but Hats off to him for doing such a brilliant job .
The CG is mind blowing and i reco to watch it only in 3D.
Bangy boys can check out all they multiplexes as they are showing it in 3D and also in 2D format.
4.5/5 from me.

Saw Avatar over the weekend.

The story is very simply & resembles with an old Hindi movie.

The special effects are simply awesome but i seriously feel that we need a good theater with great picture & sound quality to enjoy this movie.

One must watch this to see how advanced CGI has got but yes this is no edge of the seat entertainment.

My rating

3.5/5

Eddy, you were there in 10:30 Show on Friday, 18th, even I was there as well.
I completely agreed with what you have felt. Planning to watch it again in City Walk or Ambience but heard that the ticket costs some where around 900 bucks.
