Longest Drives!

My longest drive was from Nagpur to Amritsar [1583.1 km in 36.5 hours spread over 11/12/13 September 2011] in my Linea as a part of my Leh expedition. Details are here.

Completed 860+kms from Pune to Banglore in just over 11hrs yesterday.

Car : Indica Vista
Mileage : 17kmpl
Breaks : 2 short breaks (breakfast and lunch)

My longest drive was from Lucknow to nainital which was 400+ kms, car was Honda city and mileage was around 15 kmpl which i covered in 8 hours with one long lunch break where we had to wait for someone

My Longest single day drive so far has been Bangalore-Pune-Aurangabad spanning 1100 Kms.
I will be doing Bangalore-Thane-Surat (1250 Kms) on this Saturday as part of my trip to GJ.

My longest drive was from Chennai to Mumbai (Thane) - 1353 kms - Did a non- stop 18.5 hrs drive (only fuel stops at petrol bunks) - Car: Baleno Lxi

My longest drive was from Pune to my native place Tanuku (in AP) about 1010 kms. did a break journey in Hyderabad both ways.

Route: Pune - Solapur - Hyderabad - Vijaywada - Tanuku

A cop stopped us in Hyderabad due to MH number showed him the toll receipts still he was not convinced (wanted money off course) did some harsh talking (Laato ke bhut baato se nahi maante) and we were allowed to leave. Whats pathetic is the attitude of our policemen on duty, also he didnt even know the difference between a yellow board vehicle and a private vehicle (was demanding the tax receipts at the borders).

My longest drive in a day is Bangalore - Nagpur of 1150 kms door to door. It took 16.5 hours to complete this drive.

I have many other more than 1000 Kms drive in a day

1. Mumbai - BLR
2. BLR - Vizag
3. Bangalore - Nagpur
4. Nagpur - Bangalore

My max km in a day has been BLR-MYS-HASSAN-MYS-BLR which is 520km.
However, my longest continous drive without a break has been BLR-MYS-COORG which is about 235km.

Longest from Bangalore to somewhere after Ahmedabad in my Scorpio covering 1669Kms in 29 hours, during the drive to Leh. (Not sure about the number of Kms covered in 24hours. Might be 250-300Kms less)

The longest I have driven in India is between Pune and Bangalore 800+km.
Time Taken: 12 hours to touch Bangalore (another 3 in Bangalore to reach the destination)

I also took a 1200 miles Around 1920 KM in US from Arkansas to Florida.
Time Taken: 18 hours some minutes

Both trips include pee breaks, refueling and quick food pick-up stops.

December 2010, I did Chandigarh-Kanyakumari-Chandigarh, solo, in my beloved Esteem VX in 8 days flat.
I was back home on the evening of the eighth day. I would have reached back on the seventh day itself, but severe bad weather and fog held me up in Agra. Driving alone through our Motherland India was kind of a spiritual experience.
Next in line is to drive across the US. That too, solo!

How did I not see this thread earlier!
My longest drive - Chennai-Tirunelveli. Distance - 660 kms. Duration - 8 hrs with 1 hr lunch break. Car - My 4 1/2 year old baby Cedia. Mileage - One full tank with some vapor left.

Well my longest drive till date was 2 weeks back, I drove from Delhi to Nanital around 300kms with one breakfast break in between, completed in 6 hours including break and 30 mins long jam at bilaspur.

Considering, I started driving in Feb and with just 3500kms experience behind the wheel. I really enjoyed the drive overall.

Looking forward to drive down to jammu from Delhi ( 600kms ) in late July or August.

my longest drive at a stretch has been indianapolis to raleigh through charlotte - typically it is 750 miles one way but i had to take multiple detours due to landslide on the way and ended up driving approx. 1000 miles and took over 15 hours. car used was a rental 4 cyl toyota camry.

I did Kolhapur - Bangalore, at one stretch on 8th Nov.2010. (with 2 pit stops & 2/3 stops at RW crossings)

Distance covered- about 600 kms.
Time taken- about 5.5 hrs. (5.30 am- 11 am at Nelmangala)
Car- New Fabia 1.2 TDI, (18 days 'OLD').
Top speed- 165 kmph.
FE- approx. 18 kmpl.

Next day, did Bangalore- Chennai- Bangalore, (but with breaks).
