The longest drive I have done is 1000kms from Bangalore to Mumbai on my 7 yr old alto lxi in Nov 2012. Time taken 13 hours with breaks for breakfast and lunch. Average speeds mantained 83kmph. Fuel consumption 19km/lit with a/c

My longest drive at one stretch (in India) was Bodh Gaya to Agra, about 850 KM, 12 hours, FE 14 KMPL in a Hyundai i10 Asta Automatic. Top speed 100 KMPH.

Though I haven't done any long distance car drives where I drove the car (have been a shotgun many times), this May I did a 2000km ride on my TVS Apache from Thane to Bangalore and then back. When going, I took a day's halt at Pune whereas on the return trip I did the entire stretch in a go excluding the butt breaks. Took me about 17 hours to do the 1000km, including breaks totaling 2 hours.

My longest drives till date:

In India: Alto LXI, Bangalore to Goa to Karwar to Bangalore. It was our 2nd Anniversary trip. In the total of around 1350 kms, the return trip from Karwar to Bangalore (around 550 to 600 kms) was almost nonstop except 2 to 3 breaks in between.

In EuroZone: BMW 320D, Germany to Netherlands to Belgium to Luxemburg to Germany. This was the loooooooongest I have done. We were 4 friends, I was the only driver. Started at 7:00 AM from the car rental unit at Germany and returned back home at 4:00 AM next day. In 21 hours, almost 18 hours we were in the car and the round trip was around 1400 kms! before 7:00 AM the next day, we had promptly returned the car too, I wouldnt say any of us were so tired. A Memorable crazy drive it was for all of us!!

I took a trip of 2500 KMs in my Linea TJet.
Pune -> GOA -> Mangalore -> Coorg -> Mysore -> Bangalore -> Davangere -> Pune. Took a week for this trip with Wife and my kid on board.
Wife took over driving duties for 300 odd Kms.

Avg : 14.5 KMPL
Time in Car: 36 hours.

Day 2 Kolhapur Coimbatore - 900 Kms

In my cousins Santro.
Was the most wonderful experience and my first long drive.

Velaneshwar - Guhagar - Dhopave - Dabhol - Dapoli - Kelshi - Bankot - Harihareshwar - 1 day

Harihareshwar - Shrivardhan - Diveagar - Dighi - Janjira - Mahad - Poladpur - Mahabaleshwar - 1 day

Mahabaleshwar - Hubli - 6 hours

Hubli - Bangalore - 6 hours

Average kmpl - 14

Road condition - Ok till Honavar-Goa. Kokan roads were average/ below average, Road back from Mahabaleshwar was good

Numerous trips from Bangalore to Kannur (via Virajpet 330 kms & via Bathery 390 kms) and vice versa. The last trip took around 8 hrs to complete on my choco Ritzy. Fastest lap on Mysore rd - 120 kmph; didn't intend to go faster as I had 2 kiddos in the car.

Europe:
3400 km - Dusseldorf (Germany) - Netherlands - Belgium - Luxembourg - Switzerland - Austria (With a top speed of 210 kph on A1 )

But the trip that FELT the longest:
25 km - 5 hours Sterling theater(Fort) to Prithvi Theater(Juhu) in mumbai rains

Straight Drive:
700 Kms 1 day
Gurgaon - Rampur -Barielly - Lucknow - then interiors towards Nepal.

Trip:
2800 Kms 8 days
Above route + interiors of U.P + return (which included visiting relatives and my native place in UP)

Hey Pranav, I too was thinking of doing a cross Europe road trip.
Starting at Stockholm (Coz I have relatives there) > Copenhagen > Munich > Hamburg > Amsterdam > Brussels > Paris > Bern > Geneva > Zurich > Vienna > Prague > Berlin > Copenhagen > Stockholm.

All of these are covered under the Schenegen visa.

Could you please throw some light on how much time should I take at hand for this trip? And stuff about tolls, other expenses, etc.?
Would be thankful for any kind of input.

@ Sugam, nice to know you are interested in a roading experience at the Eurozone. Yes, all countries that you have listed belong to the Schengen Area.

As far as I know, you will be on Tolled route in Swiss (Bern, Geneva and Zurich) which is 40 CHF flat valid for upto 1 year and Austria (Vienna) which is 8 Euros for 10 days (you might not need the yearly toll sticker here).

No Tolls at Germay (Munich, Hamburg, Paris, Parague and Berlin). Paris and Copenhagen, I am not sure as I havent tried by car.

Since you are planning Austria too, I strongly recommend you to the Grossglockner Alpine Highway, ityou will have quite an experience driving here!

My longest trip was 2500 kms (Bangalore-Srikakulam-Hyderabad-Bangalore) in 4 days.
