Cons : there is possibility of congestion at the first rotary where the traffic will merge from alternate route and the existing route.

| ![]() Idiotic 'woe is me' argument from the toll company. The exit toll itself shouldn't have existed, and now they're moaning about people depriving them of that too by using the alternate road. It is going to be a mess, the taxi lobbies aren't going to simply fall in line. Headache for commuters. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Agree, Navayuga (from media reports) have anyway made more than a fair rate of return from such a PPP project. GoK should negotiate, buy them out and dismantle the KIAL exit toll. The HYD one still has some logical validity to remain. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Can the toll company take that decision (to start charging on one direction)? Isn't the highway authority or the state govt responsible for such a decision? |

If you stick to Outer Ring Road, the white topping mess will slow you down after Kasturi Nagar and Hebbal junction could be messy again due to the rush towards Palace Grounds. One slightly roundabout option could be to go via Ramamurthy Nagar-TC Palya Main Road-Hennur Road-Kannuru Road-Bellary Road-Sahakaranagar/Kodigehalli-Vidyaranyapura via the new railway underpass and the GKVK road. EDIT:Or even via Yelahanka from Bellary Road (reach Bellary Road via Hennur road as mentioned above). Last edited by NPV : 4th February 2018 at 13:34.

| ![]() Was at Sankey Road at about 0830 today. The city has been beautified by flex boards in every pole. The Cauvery theatre roundabout had atleast 100 flex boards. And flags everywhere. Was amazed to see the transformation. Our boring old garden city has become a flexcity. |

| ![]() Had to visit Thanisandra this evening and given the white topping work after Kasturi Nagar, decided to avoid that route and instead take the interior roads via TC Palya main road, Jayanthi Nagar and reach Hennur road and then onwards to K Narayanapura cross and Thanisandra main road. The K Narayanapura road was in shambles with one half being dug up for some pipe laying work and then hurriedly covered with mud it's like an off-road track. This was the first time I'd taken this route, so maybe I should have stuck to the road from kothanur to K Narayanapura cross ? Hadn't tried that road earlier so was not too sure. On the return leg, took the Thanisandra main road towards outer ring road. On this route, the service road that merges back onto the main carriage lanes of the outer ring road is in shambles and like an off-road track. Last edited by NPV : 4th February 2018 at 23:24. |

| ![]() I grew up in the Jayanagar vicinity and I see something that is somewhat concerning. I really like trees and appreciate what we get from them. I do not understand why BBMP is planting these trees on the road? I think the asphalt will give as the tree grows and the roots get stronger. Also, when a tree suddenly appears on the road, it causes a bottleneck . I hope this retired gentleman with a good heart and intention is not actually planting these anywhere and everywhere. http://bangaloremirror.indiatimes.co...w/62795862.cms |

| ![]() The newly laid speed breakers in white topped ORR near Rammurthynagar underpass is creating pile ups even for early morning commute. Roads were clogged for at-least few hundred metres before the speed breaker. Two wheelers had tough time negotiation it. Even four wheelers and above had to take it very slow, though I know speed breakers are meant for that but didn't feel it is designed properly. Cheers! |

| ![]() Now BTP to accept vehicle documents stored on digi locker. According to this article in TOI, documents such as DL, registration certificate, emission certificate stored in the app can be taken as proof. Insurance certificate may also be added onto the app. ![]() But this will not be accepted in cases of drunk driving where the DL or the registration certificate has to be confiscated according to MV act. |

How does this Digilocker thingy work; if they accept digital copy of license at non-DUI checkpoints then someone who has had his license confiscated for any reason can continue to show the digital copy at such checkpoints, no? |
