He better be careful with these truck fellows.

This was around 10.30 AM. More than the truck fellows, its their connected owners and builders whom they cater to that I am worried about.

Are you back to using the car? What happened to the bus commute?

Very true. How I hope/ wish people take this in the correct spirit and help with law enforcement instead of focussing on petty selfish short term issues

I am allowed to wake up late a couple of times per week.
This has two advantages, less traffic on the highway and I have the freedom to move out anytime I want. Or rather, anytime my boss wants.

BTW, Hinjewadi road sides are incredibly filthy. Just check out the area in front vacant plots/areas by the side of the main road from flyover to the chowk and a bit beyond, and they are filled to the brim with rotting food, plastic bags, dead birds and human waste. Disgusting, really.

Re: Hinjewadi Traffic Issues

Very true Ojas. I had mentioned the same a few pages back in this thread. With rains, it gets worse. The stink really starts getting to you. Thank god for AC in cars!

I've always wondered- We get our clients to show our "state of the art" offices with what nots in them. What about the roads they use to travel to these offices? They must be having a laugh for sure!

Forget the clients, they will go away sooner rather than later. What about us! now this is sounding like a recent discussion a couple of biggies had about Mumbai

Re: Hinjewadi Traffic Issues

One more addition to the already bad traffic situation in Hinjewadi. I am not sure though how is it going to handle the roads.

This is really but was not sure where to post it. Just wanted to share it with fellow Hinjewadi folks.

Yup it is. Vodafone has got this car today here for display.

Unfortunately they are not allowing anyone too close to it. I was hoping they would allow me to sit in the cockpit or atleast revv the engine.

Well, either it would be left with all 4 wheels dangling in the air on our super moon smooth roads OR you would see a biker between the front wheel and the engine cowling.

High hopes Amit
As for how it will fare on these roads, people in buses are going to aim to spit into that cockpit.

I harbour no such ambitions man!

Two questions :

- Is road work complete on the orange route ?
- Is the U-turn after Wakad bridge while heading towards Wakad legal now ?

I find progress on Mezza9 route slow these days, with truck traffic and mad motorists.

Did some work start on Orange route? Did not see any and it is the only route I have been taking for quite a while. Road condition is 2 on a 1-5 scale with lot of patchwork and small craters, but easy to maintain 40 kmph and takes no more than 10 mins to cover the distance.

So far the traffic density has been quite low.

Thanks man.
My desk mate (we dont have cubicles as such!) was telling me that some work had started there. So I was optimistic about a fresh and smoothly tarmac'ed, low traffic'ed, quick exit from Hinjewadi.

Re: Hinjewadi Traffic Issues

^^^ Unless some work started today, I would'nt know.

Now you've got my hopes up

Another thing worth noting about the orange route is the slightly more orderly traffic. You'd think bikers and cars alike would have a field day on a less crowded road, but that is not the case. Maybe that's the reason some roads don't get repaired. Give smooth tarmac and speeds could approach dangerous levels.

Re: Hinjewadi Traffic Issues

Those who plan to leave, like right now, you may want to reconsider!!
I see serpentine queues of traffic both on the Mezza9 route as well as the main road. Must be down to the fact that some people have converted this into a long weekend + festivities.
