I am using since last six months and almost half bottle is still left.very less amount is required to make a thin film of BSD.
I have not used optimum QD, so cannot compare the both.
hope it helps.

Thanks for the info. Where can I buy Sonax BSD. As I checked, its available only on Amazon and the product looks little different from what I checked in the Sonax website.

Thanks. I ordered in carpowergrid. In Amazon, it was available at 790 without MF cloth and in carpowergrid, it is 890 with MF cloth.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

I Clayed our Elite i20 last week with Geon Clay Bar after washing with Meguiar's Nxt Wash Shampoo. The Lub used was Ultima Waterless Wash Plus.
After Claying, I applied two coats of Ultima Paint Guard Plus.
But during Claying, I think I messed up something. Some Streaks can be seen on the Roof area if viewed from certain angles (from behind of vehicle). I did not click photos.
What can be done to correct this?
Should I clay that part (Roof) again?

EDIT: -1
Also even after applying two coats of UPGP, I am not happy with the end results (as seen on some fellow-bhpians cars).
The Shine, reflection are not as expected (read Showroom Finish). What steps are needed here?

EDIT: -2
During Waterless Wash, are 2 MF cloths needed? Means one for Cleaning (after spraying) and another for wiping dry the surface.
If only one is required, please help me buy one. Should I go Jopasu Microfiber Pack- Set of 3 (Rs. 379/-) or the 3M Car Care MF Cloth or 3M Scotch Brite MF Cloth mentioned in Online Shopping Thread by audioholic?
I want to buy that MF Cloth for Waterless Wash.
I have locally purchased MF cloth which leaves water marks behind after wiping the surface sprayed with UWWP.

Just a quick observation on the process. I see that you are not applying any wax coating over the UPGP (which is a sealant). Sealant is a paint protection and will not give much shine or gloss finish. Apply two coats of good wax over the sealant.

There are very good wax products available, paste type, spray type etc. Go through this thread for more details.

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144323

But before you apply wax, make sure car is washed with shampoo.

I want to buy that MF Cloth for Waterless Wash.
I have locally purchased MF cloth which leaves water marks behind after wiping the surface sprayed with UWWP.
Number of MF cloths required for waterless wash will vary according to dirt accumulated on car, but atleast 2 cloths will be required to wash a relatively clean car.1 to wipe the UWWP and another for buffing.
you should prefer the cloths having longer nap which will trap more amount of dirt and sands inside and reduces the chances of scratching. MF cloths having
450 gsm or more is preferred.
hope it helps.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

I recently bought Optimum MF cloths, one for polishing, another for glass.

Both are excellent quality.

The Jopasu cloths are good too.

Quite a few years ago, I bought a thick microfibre polishing cloth in UK. It must be about 1/4-inch thick. Does anybody know any online product anything like that?

I wanted to know whether another cloth is required after wiping the Utima Waterless Wash Plus.
I thought only one cloth is sufficient for wiping the UWWP. But the MF cloth would leave the water marks behind which raised doubt in my mind.

Thanks for advice. I will use another cloth for buffing dry after wiping the UWWP with 1st cloth.

But this query remained unanswered.
Which of the following should I go for-
1. Jopasu Microfiber Pack- Set of 3 (Rs. 379/-)
2. 3M Car Care MF Cloth
3. 3M Scotch Brite MF Cloth

I am using Jopasu as general purpose microfiber in car care. They are good value for money products.
For waterless wash, I am using ultimate detailerz 530 gsm microfiber towel. It's very soft and fluffy with long naps, traps large amount of dirt inside during waterless wash. I am satisfied with it's performance.

I am using 3M through and through. After shampoo I use a sponge. Pretty happy with the performance.

I see that now you are bitten by detailing bug, which bit me last year .

You need to decide how much money you are going to spend on detailing stuff, as there are lots you can buy.

But just to keep your car clean and shine, following would be required:

1. Jopasu duster - This is not for waterless wash. Duster has to be strictly only used to clean the fine dust on the surface of the car. If car is dirty and not dusty, you should go for wash.

2. Washing car either with Shampoo or Waterless wash concentrate. Waterless wash is quite easier and quicker compared to full cash wash using shampoo. May be you can do weekly waterless wash and shampoo wash once in a month. That's how I do it. You can choose Optimum No Rinse or Proklear. I personally recommend Proklear since it is a good product and more VFM. ONR is quite costly.

3. You may want to buy a dedicated glass cleaner. You can choose from Sonax or Proklear WWC. Again, I have used both and vouch for WWC.

4. If you want instant shine with minimum effort, go for Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer which can be applied after a wash. May be once in a month is more than sufficient. This only gives gloss and shine and does not contain any protecting or waxing content. Water beeding would be crazy. You will like it.

5. Invest in good MF cloths, don't use other cloths for cleaning or drying. You may choose from Jopasu, 3M, X static. I use Jopasu.

If you want to protect and wax your car, then you need to go through pages of this thread. For the full detailing, you need to do claying, polishing, sealant and waxing. And not to mention that this would need more money and your elbow grease .

Regards,
KK

PS: I have no personal interests in the website, product or seller.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

I have been searching for "the most effective way of removing bird dropping" on our forum for about half an hour now and clearly I have no idea how to reach that piece of information.

I am sure others would have answered this question somewhere here, so please either redirect me there or show/tell me how to do it? I am a little less fortunate in the owning a garage section and these dropping irritate me to the core. help.
