You can try washing it with water (or a very mild soap solution) and dry it in shade. It should improve the performance a bit.

Thanks , did you try washing down the car ?? If its a dried off wax , it will easily get washed away.

I did actually. But the marks have remained the same. They really look scruffy. My first service is due so maybe they will be able to shed some light on it.

I used half of the clay bar i.e, 25 gm and it could cover the whole car. The clay has still some clean surfaces and can use it for some more panels during my next clay session. I have planned to clay thrice in a year and this way the 50 gm should suffice for 3 sessions i.e, for 1 year.

I haven't tried Bilt Hamber but have seen good reviews about it. Now the latest trend is the sponge type clay bar alternative which can be reused even though it falls off from hand. You can give it a try. I have never used it though.

Not enough testimonials on Nanoskin Autoscrub sponge. Its rather expensive for 'thrice a year' treatment. I was badly hoping for a Rs.500 Megs clay but Sanjay had different thoughts. I was almost convinced by his reply to me justifying the price point. My quest to source a decent clay bar continues...

Yes it is suitable for manual polishing. One of the better polishes designed to be applied by hand using a foam pad

Hi fellas
I would first gladly like to tel that I acquired my complete detailing kit that includes Meguiar's Wash, ONR, Meg QD, Meg clay bar, Fourstar UP and collinite 845 with couple of applicator pads and MF clothes.
I had scheduled 10th Apr (Delhi polling day) for the sessions.
So starting early straight away casted my vote had breakfast and headed to the parking with the arsenal.
First a good wash with meg, dried the car. Then claying using MEg's and ONR lubricant dilution. Not much came onto but yes few things did.
Then applied FS-UP onto the surface and let it dry for 30 mins. In excitement I had applied thin layer as few places as opposed to what is recommended. By the time it dried I was around 4.30 and I was little tired. Mistake of over application costed in extra labor while cleaning the dried surface. BOY it just made my smile as I moved on clearing the surfaces. It was kind of having little pain in shoulder and at the same time my happiness was growing so was the smile on my face.
By the time I cleared it all It was already 5.30.
Now it's been 4 days to that session and I want to do another layer of FS-UP. SO can I still do another layer? or Shall I go for collinite 845 now?

Yes you can add another layer but I feel it won't be worth it. It would be better if you did apply another layer or do above same process every 2 months. Your car will look all good.

Applying wax over a sealant, I don't see any logic behind it. Due to slick surface I believe Collinite 845 be having problem adhering to surface. Either do wax or sealant, doing both won't give any benefit. In our environmental condition sealant are better as they last long. Rest you can apply on one panel and see the difference if its worth to apply 845.

These are scuffs, the sort that happen when someone with a ring etc runs their hands, it is usually seen on the foot board when the driver or passenger when getting out of the car, runs the shoe against it. Can be removed with some simple and safe rubbing most likely.

One year is quite a lot, duster may lose its utility based on the usage, ideally it must be changed, or as suggested try to wash and see.
