Re: My Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace - Ownership Review & Upkeep

Hey guys! Any word on the latest deals on the Tiguan AllSpace? VW Downtown in Mumbai would not go below 39.85L on-road + 3 year SVP (Corporate reg). I feel this price to be very high given this is technically a car that has been manufactured in 2019 (Imported in 2020).

Here I see that people in Bangalore are reporting 37L, someone from Delhi even reported of a 34L on-road price (+5 year SVP). What do you folks reckon? Bite the bullet or sit tight?

I'd say bite the bullet if you like the car and what it offers, next year it's going to be even more expensive from what I know putting it against the Kodiaq TSI etc. But do try to negotiate a bit more if you can. Delhi is cheaper as they have a lower RoadTax percent I presume.

Re: My Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace - Ownership Review & Upkeep

Attaching pictures of our Deep Black Pearl AllSpace, I've been contemplating getting paint protection such as PPF for it but later it hit me. I was just going to keep it nice for the next guy then. Now I'm thinking PPF under the handles, maybe bumpers alone and get it paint corrected/detailed every year. We use a pressure washer, mitts and microfibre cloths to wash so I guess I should be alright with-out ceramic? Do you guys have any recommendations?

Also, done with 3000kms in 30 days

39.5 is definitely on a higher side considering the fact that a few a bhpians were able to close the deal for around 35L.
I would suggest you to get the vehicle from Delhi, hire a flatbed and get it registered in Mumbai. You will be able to save around 2-3 Lakhs.

Sorry for the delayed response but I am talking to Elite Motors that has showrooms on Hosur Road and JP Nagar. Incidentally, I picked up my Tiguan today.

Thanks a ton to this group and forum and a special thanks to kalyan_hyd for clarifying all the doubts that I had before purchasing this car. Took delivery of the Tiguan today. Looking forward to the motoring days ahead! Love you, guys!

Exactly my thoughts. I actually have put down my booking for the MY2021 Jeep Compass Model S 4x4 Diesel AT. That one is coming up to 36.28 on-road. Checked out the Tiguan, really like what it has to offer but I don't see value at the price they expect me to pay for a car that has technically been manufactured 3 years ago.

I have left the dealer a final word on my target price of anything >35L on-road. Which I believe to be a fair offer.

I'd much rather go ahead with my Jeep Compass booking. The extra space and interior quality aside, that car seems to be a compelling package. We do not have any utility of the additional row of seats in the Tiguan, the compact size is a plus for manoeuvrability within the city, seems to have more kit and is a car that is manufactured in 2021 and not 2019. Yet to TD it though, let's hope that 9-speed A/T is not a dealbreaker.

To all the Tiguan owners, did you guys ever consider the Jeep Compass, if yes, how does it stack up? Especially now after the launch of the facelifted version.

Regards,
Akash

Never considered the Compass as an option myself, I got my AllSpace for 34 with 5 year SVP. The new Compass (facelift) interior's are much better than the older one. To me Jeeps and Fiats never made it to the cut. VAG over them any-day for me. Sorry FCA enthusiasts

No issues at all. I finally managed to land at 37.7L that included 5 year SVP.

Quick question. What was the ex show room price on the invoice leading to this? Believe KA road tax is 18%, but is it levied on the actual invoice value (after discounts) or on the theoretical ex showroom price? Also what did insurance cost?

Re: My Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace - Ownership Review & Upkeep

Finally went ahead with the PPF. Chose to get it done at 3M using their Scotchguard Pro film. Got the full car done up. And now back to Jopasu duster daily. Can we start one a week wash after the check up the 3 M guys have asked? The car is parked in the open, it needs one a week wet wipes at least.

This it how she looks with the work done...

Btw, there are discussions on the manufacturing date of the car, my RC says Feb 2020.

Your car is looking stunning, mate. Bravo!

The RC will state the date of import as this is a CBU. It has rolled off the production line in the year 2019 from the VW plant in Puebla, Mexico.

Re: My Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace - Ownership Review & Upkeep

I think we single-handedly depleted the stock of Tiguan Allspaces in the country.

Congratulations! Allspace in Red looks great and reminds me of my Forester, which we are finding it hard to replace
Did they say that the Allspace has been sold out?

When our SA was with us to sign the final papers, someone called him looking for another one, and they weren’t able to source one from the factory. Everything still available is probably at individual dealerships.
