You better give it for the first service according to what ford recommends.

Aye Aye Captain Slow! Will book that service appointment with the Ford Service.

So, how is your Black Donkey doing after the 1st service?

Work profession involves so much travelling; And i was in mangalore only for a week and that's when i clocked 114 kms.

I have given the car (1.2 Zxi) for first service. The estimate is Rs1300. Can you post a copy of the bill or the details so that I can find out why MPL Ford is charging more.

I don't remember who posted the petrol service details. It was closer to 1000. The above is closer to diesel first service.

Ha,Ha! You sound like Sponge bob! But I'm not the captain of the krusty krab!

I feel she is the same! Noise levels are up a bit. This could all be in my head
F.E is also the same. Getting only 10KMPL Driving in the city with the aircon on all the time.

Nothing much to update you guys with.

The squeaking sound issue is still there and its the plastic part behind the rear left glass thats also rattling a bit. I need to get this fixed.

Because the weather has become very pleasant Im using aircon only 10% of the time. And this time I got a FE of 12.5 in the city!

I took my Figo on the first long distance journey.
Total distance traveled 612KM. Blr-Tirupati-Blr.

The car was fully loaded with 4 adults and lot of luggage. (boot was full)
The car does well on the high way.
On totally empty roads I pushed it to 130KM. The car felt quite stable. The car can do more but I wasn't confident enough.
Maintained speeds of 80-90KM through most of the journey.

Overtaking other vehicles on the high way can be a little troublesome. The car lacks the power to suddenly accelerate in 4th gear. So you would need to time your overtakes well in advance.

I got a FE of 15.75 per Liter! AC usage was about 30%.

Now that you have been to Tirupati, what about the performance on steep inclines? Does it pull nicely or struggle? With a/c on & full load?

That is a very good mileage for petrol. Can we expect a detailed travelouge and how the performance is on the ghats and inclines?

I made a mistake in my last post.

Car did 652KM before I refueled. Filled in 38L (full tank)
Thats about 17.15 Per Liter of petrol. This was on the highway with 4 adults and lot of luggage. (boot was full). AC usage was about 30%.

Car has completed 4200KM! No problems until now.

The car does struggle to pull with the AC on. Overtaking is a pain with the AC on. You can feel the power being zapped away when the compressor kicks in.

I never took the car to Tirumala.
We took a taxi from Tirupati.

On any inclines you will need to down shift to 2rd or 3rd. The car lacks pulling power in 4th gear. On really steep inclines you will need to downshift to first and second.
70 donkeys working its best!

@Captain Slow, thanks for the update on the FE. That's pretty good for a Figo Petrol, I guess. I did a TD yesterday, was quite happy with the ride and comfort.

Wishing you many more miles

Eventhough i had a couple of TDs of Figo TDCi, all these days never tried the FIGO petrol, for everyone was talking about it's lack of power.

Had a pleasant surprise yesterday. The car is not at all lacking in power.
With 4 medium sized people the car pulled really well with AC.
The midrange was sweet. Reached 80kph from 30kph in a breeze (3rd gear).
Agree the low end torque is less compared to say a hyundai 1.1
but the midrange is very good.
Didn't get a chance to drive beyond 80kph.

the only time the car fell below expectation was in a steep incline
at 10kph and 4 pax. had to downshift from 2nd gear to 1st gear to pull through.

Overall i liked this 1.2 Sigma more than the much loved TDCi.

And this car too had a squeak near the left rear quarter with 6.5k on the odo.
