Thats a 49 ish Morris Minor. Likely to be running another engine, looking at the wheels.

Saw what looked like an old VW Golf (not exactly vintage) rusting in Chennai. For those interested, its inside a compound on Haddows road (near the left turn where Haddows road joins Nungambakkam High road - Opp ABN Amro).

Hi PiranhaBoy, can you tell me where is this minor located. I am interested in this car. From the wheels, it looks some modifications. Am fine as long the engine is original and it's original convertible. Can anyone also guide me (private message) on how to get this car to Goa from Bangalore?

Incidentally I reckon "low-light" Minors, as this one, are relatively rarer than the later "high-headlight" models?

Well this place is very close to Brigade Road here. If your familiar with Bangalore i can let you know exactly where it is. I dont think you should have any proiblem taking this car to Goa if it has clean papers!

The car as pointed out by others is an early low light morris minor. I remember seeing an ad for a similarly modded minor(saloon) around 10 years back in auto india. I distinctly remember the car had a contessa differential. Was white and had a lot of stickers on it. Could be the same car, Since i really dont think this red one is an original convertible. It looks more like a local chop job to me. Even if its not, i'm pretty sure that's not an original top!

@stanher, yes, the low lights are rarer than the regular variety.

Guys this car is in a torn down shed at the junction of Brigade Road.

There's one high bonnet Willys standing next to this.

This morris is modified with a M-800 Engine and has some sporty rims and fat tyres.

This was hard top and made convertible.

Decent running car when i saw it couple of years ago. Now since the garage is deserted its lying there.

The willys is up for sale at 1.50 lacs(nothing original left)

If I remember the ad right the car was offered with a Dolphin differential and Contessa engine.

It sure is a chop-top.....and yes it could be the same one that was for sale in Auto India....since that car too had an MY regn....had lot of mods in it- mechanically atleast. But it still had the original hardtop.
