Islero, that's a 1948-49 Ford deluxe/mercury V8.

I guess it has been abandoned.....its completley rotted.... I couldn't find anything that could be saved...... and of course, this was spotted somewhere near Pudhupet....

Well I had spotted this in puthupet itself, in the lane with all the scrap parts shops and garages. 'had posted about it here:

It lay a little distance away from a very rusty Fiat 1100 select that was for sale (MSX 2727).

Spotted this ageing Austin in Thane. She has been standing on jacks since 76, and its remarkable how well the body has preserved, inspite of going through the floods. To be restored soon.

Note the Ambassador headlight ring.

Reg. the Asutin- wow, since 1976!! Thats probably a record for a laid up car in India!!

Does the vw have fiat rims?? Or they original ones?

Ive seen cars laid up since the 30s

Those are the genuine rims for the VW.

the rims sure look original,there was another one posted in Dr vijay mallya.... thread

i believe it was getting restored then it was something like grey colour if i remember right
had the similar rims
