Oh, ho, ho . . . I've been away a few days. Where are the experts at identifying cars and giving us wonderful information that nobody else knows? Could this be an Alvis? An Alvis TA, or something like that? I'd love to know what she is, and her full bio (only the car - not about the other lady!).

On another (and lighter) note, Harit, do you have access to archives of insurance companies - given the shunted Fleetmasters and Zephyrs?

Another filmy photo I presume? In the background is a Chevy Fleetmaster, the other car could be a Dodge. Who are these folks? Very poor response in identifying these people. Unfortunately movies and their stars were not part of my interest while growing up. Interest in the stars started only when I relised that they did have some fab cars.

Please have a look at the morris and where the lady has put her hand. Is she a mechanic? I do not think so. No oil stain on the sari

This is most probably a posed picture, any idea who the actress is?
Enjoy the picture.

Has this image been flipped? I believe the chassis plate should be on the left.

The laughing actress in the chevy fleetmaster pic. is no doubt Madhubala. A face one could never forget! Difficult to place the gent though.

Another tell-tale sign is that her Saree should've been with the pallu draped over the left shoulder!
Of course, in some communities, it is also worn the other way.

Remember, many of the photos were printed from negatives. They have no indication which side is correct. Most probably the image IS flipped.

If you know so much why do we not meet and you can identify some more. This is getting more interesting.

Aha Madhubala Ji, wow she is so pretty and the nostalgic black and white pictures adds more life into the picture, I guess the gentlemen next to her must be her hubby (just guessing)

Is that the battery of the Morris in the middle, if so its unique to see the battery box in the middle of the engine bay. Does the restored morris of today have it at the same place? The headlamp rims are not CHROME plate its also unique.

I am loving the cutout box on the right side, I feel we Team BHPians should have born in that era of lovely cars and bikes or a time machine can help us get them now. Ooff! god I wish if such things could happen.

No, I got these photos after the insurance companies misplaced the files

See, I told that the Fleetmaster chassis was bent!

Is this in Mumbai? Connected to film processing? Famous lab now fallen on hard times?

Looking to comments.

This American coupe seems to be odd. Proportions are slightly off. Can Ram give positive identification?
I find that the trafficator mounted was actually meant for earlier cars.
