That's good news indeed. Hopefully the Terrano will offer much better looking and quality vehicle compared to Duster.

I can only wonder if Nissan is doing this on purpose. The Ecosport has garnered much attention and is at the peak of its hype because of the fantastic pricing. The preponed launch of the Terrano (hopefully at competitive prices) will only help Nissan fight against the Ecosport and the Duster simultaneously in this already hot mini-SUV market. It's as they say, they're Killing two birds with one stone.

Something I noticed: The bumpers are going to be body colored, making this version look more premium than Duster, like the Duster TechRoad in Brazil.

I am planning to wait for Terrano and delay my Ecosport delivery till then!

These shots are giving me confidence that this will be a much more butch looking vehicle with better looks and with all the changes suggested by consumers for Duster. Afterall, Duster is still deep in my heart, can not stop feeling for it (since I had cancelled my booking last year and have pre-booked ES AT)

Lastly, hope they release atleast an AT of Terrano, and I can only wish for a 4WD.

Looks like Terrano is going to be just cosmetic changes over duster. Most importantly, pricing is going to decide the fate of this car. Renault is a bigger and more aspirational brand in India currently(compared to Nissan) though they came in pretty late.

Now with EcoSport pricing out in public, Nissan has 2.5Lakhs to adjust their pricing. If they decide to price this above Renault, they that will only widen the gap between EcoSport and Terrano. Interesting !!!!

Isn't the Terrano expected to be pricier than the Duster? - going by their badge swap contract that was highlighted a few pages back on this thread.

So, how does it compete with the Ecosport then? Ecosport will be cheaper by at least 2.5 lakhs variant to variant. The 2 possible things which can distinguish the Terrano from the Duster are better interiors/gadgets and AWD/4WD.

But, since Renault themselves are pretty hesitant to launch the 4WD variant here, not sure if Nissan will bite!

But why do you think so ? Duster has been tried and tested already. All they need to do is launch it with tweaks which are only add on. They anyway test cars without stuff like front grill. Duster and terrano will share the platforms so much that only cosmetic changes will be done at the end.

Only thing they need to worry about is the price.

I'm just going by Autocar's prediction. They seem to get most things right. As i mentioned earlier, Renault need to rework the variants of the Duster else the Terrano won't be vfm! Heck, it won't be vfm now looking at the EcoSport pricing.
Price is the only thing that Nissan needs to be worried about. Everything else is going to be the same inside.

From the scoop pictures, looks like they have changed the door handles and rear lights. Maybe Duster owners will be able to spot more differences.

Nissan just released the sketches for the rear view of the upcoming Terrano and looks like its quite similar to the previously leaked renders.

Im honestly looking forward to Terrano with hopes for atleast an AT, and even better - with a 4WD system! Please Nissan, listen to the voice.

The rear looks sexy. unlike the dummy projection for the brake light in Duster this is a well integrated light. Isn't the second pic a real one ?

By the way, the new upcoming face lift version of the Renault Duster looks great too and a bit more modern.

This render is little off.

Compare the test mule with the render and you will notice they are infact sticking to the sketch.

Notice the diagonal line running on the sides through the door handle base unlike duster's.

Nissan seems to be playing honest
