I am looking at the VCDS scan from Sunil J for auto headlight and it indicates either Skoda has removed the Auto headlight trigger wire from the wiring loom or the switch that he has is faulty, it's very difficult to know the reason unless the guys doing this are ready to look at the wiring loom and identify the preset wire based on the colour code and see if the trigger wire exist or not, even though this can be done as a DIY it's very essential to have all the details. May be others should wait or if anybody with auto switch can join Sunil, he has VCDS and switch and can do a test to get the reason why his auto lights are not working and giving error CH/LH are working though. If the wiring is not present then a trigger wire( not any wire, the gauge are different) needs to be plugged from switch loom to BCM that will need a specialist who know what is supposed to be done. The wiring port on each side are defined but it will need to be plugged properly.
Not to scare you guys but all this DIY also need a good understanding of what and how, it also helps to have factory manual with details of the wiring circuits and what's there and what required to be done.
Skoda/VW don't sell wiring loom separately, so only way is via trigger wire that do come with part number and possibly again has to be ordered separately as Indian service centres don't sell them.
Suggest to get one guy do all this on newer version( Yes the electronics and hardware version has been changed in the latest version from what I have in my Yeti which is from first batch launched in India) and all others helping to get all that is required.
Based on the complexity and work required, let me put what can be done and what will need changes.
TPMS this can be done via VCDS without any wiring, but when the TPMS signals failure VCDS will be required to reset, to get this done via switch, a switch and wiring will be required, the wiring needed is from switch to ABS and to BCM and power supply.
Auto headlight, if the wiring exist then plug and play with VCDS setting, if wiring doesn't exist then a trigger wire from switch to BCM is required apart from switch.
Bluetooth : this is a separate module, but needs wiring to be routed properly from driver seat to music system and microphone behind goggle holder. This is a plug and play with effort to route the cable. Once this is done VCDS setting need to be done to accept a new module in CAN network as telephone and other setting for voice call and call settings.
Cruise Control, this is most difficult as it needs steering part change, one the cruise control module and second the slip ring which has the electronic control module to understand the CC.
CC wiring is not preset in Yeti and it needs a trigger wire from new slip ring to ECU , the ECU is sealed and needs to be taken out to rewire the CC trigger, the port for this need to be very carefully selected and inserted, because if its done wrong it difficult to get the wire out from the port. I suggest this is not worth the effort and risk, the trigger wire that comes with CC is not meant for RHD cars that means the wire need to routed differently than the actual wiring harness!
Once this is done, VCDS is required to configure the Engine module to accept the CC trigger.
Auto folding mirrors, this is the most costly of all the mods, you need a auto folding base, a completely different electronic module for driver side and passenger side and a different switch for the control, once you got all of this you need to fit the base auto folding mirror, use the current glass and cover and put the new control module with new switch, use VCDS to recode the module for auto folding.
I hope you guys understand the complexity here, Skoda/VW continuously changes the hardware and electronics based on the market and some changes might need R&D to get it right. Looks like Skoda might have revised few electronics based on 4x2 versions and cost too
