Folks, there is a very tempting offer (maybe trick is a better word here) ob XBox where the Gamepass Ultimate can be had for 8.5/3 years. Usually, it is 699+taxes / month, which comes to around 824 a month.

The trick basically converts Live Gold subscription (cheaper to own) to Gamepass ultimate. Usually, it's a 1:1 conversion. But I see that Microsoft has a conversion table listed and that has me worried. I'm not sure if it is a 1:1 conversion anymore.

My question to the fellow gamers, has anyone got the Gamepass ultimate for 8.5K recently? I would be interested to know before I pull the trigger, thanks!

As long as you don't have an active Gamepass subscription, Gold will be converted to Gamepass Ultimate at a 1:1 ratio. Only if you have an already existing Gamepass subscription, will the conversion table apply.

Thanks for responding! I have one follow-up query.

I'm a current subscriber to Gamepass ultimate. Does that mean, I'll have to wait till it expires before I try? Or do I need to get a different id altogether just to avail myself of this?

You will have to wait till the current subscription expires before you can convert the gold into Ultimate.

Just an update, I have pulled the trigger on this. Bought Xbox Live Gold and converted it to Ultimate for 3 years. Total damage to my wallet is INR 1237.82*6 + 820 = 8247.

It still works!

I have made multiple subscriptions, 6 of them, each for 6 months of Live Gold (INR 1237.82*6). The page is here
The codes were mailed to me within 5 mins. Those were redeemed here
Finally, paid one month's fee of INR 820 to re-join Game-pass ultimate here

Couldn't find the 6 month option there. It only gave me the 1 month option.

Yes, if you want to purchase, it will charge you monthly. You will have to purchase a gift card and redeem it.
I have used two different email ids, id-1 to purchase the gift cards and id-2 is already linked to my xbox is where the cards were redeemed.

I know this reply is very late, but if you are still looking for a PS5, some offline retailers have started getting stocks. Very limited though, but you will need to patiently make a lot of phone calls. Try little less obvious stores like Landmark, Starmark etc., you will have a good chance.

Online booking sucks big time, I have tried my luck for last 5 restocks online, never got one so went ahead and booked it offline.

As always, never buy from Scalpers, it just doesn't make any sense to encourage them.

Hey, I am a newbie to the console world as I recently got myself a Xbox Series S. As part of the deal, I got an extra controller for free.

I have also subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate.

Now, my spouse would like to play a few local multiplayer/local co-op games with me using the second controller. Can you guys suggest some good games?

I guess local coop means that two players using two controllers play in tandem on the same console. And local multiplayer means two players using two controllers play against each other on the same console.
