My eight year old Whirlpool top loader washing machine may need replacement shortly. It is an automatic pulsator model with built in heater. Before this I had another Whirlpool automatic for about ten years, that one was an agitator model.

What brand and model is good now? I am not fond of front loaders.

What is the recommendation for a Front Load Washing Machine in the 6 to 6.5 kg segment between LG and Samsung?

Is it worth going for 6.5 kg model since it seems to have some additional modes in LG like Steam etc.

I used to a be LG fan for a long time & have recommend it here 100s of times for 10+ years. However, I think they are no longer the same. My last 2 LG appliance purchases have been duds. Their customer service is still outstanding though.

Tumble dryers dry clothes 100%. Or even 150% if you want - you can get the clothes out warm if you want to. I owned a Haeir dryer for 10+ years & now own an IFB one. Dryers do consume energy just like other appliances which heat stuff do. But a dryer is something which is very useful.

Finally got the LG 335 litre 4 star model in shiny steel colour a couple of days back. It runs on linear inverter compressor technology (whatever that means). Actual storage space in the freezer is still lesser than the ~250 L Hitachi fridge it replaced. I guess it has got to do with the thicker insulation in the newer fridges.

Picked it up in a offline store. Flipkart actually bumped up prices and offered a 10 % discount on cards for the sale. The resulting price was slightly lower than the pre sale price when you include the card discount but the offline store gave a sweeter deal albeit with exchange. So much for the BBD sale !

Can't say exactly how much of an increase is there. Overall our power bills are consistent throughout the year. In monsoon the consumption by ACs and fridge will be lower and dryer will start getting used so there is some balance.
Yes you can get fully dry clothes from a vented dryer. There are 4 cotton drying levels. Lowest setting comes out slightly damp, say 90% dry. We use it on Level 2 where it's pretty much 99% dry. Don't use the higher settings for anything other than bedsheets and towels as the heat will ruin clothes.

Someone please suggest a good all in one microwave owen.

We are looking for rehearing, bakery and tandoor items to be made. My wife is behind my life to get one (good she isn't a team bhpian) however I have been telling her not to as it is more of a temporary excitement and not really needed.

Maximum budget to spend on it is around 12-14k.
Checked out few at Reliance and LG seem to have better features and variety. I have no clue on which is good and reliable to buy. Is there a Toyota of electronics as well?

Baking is best done in a dedicated oven, and reheating in a basic microwave oven. The economics is against an all in one devise.
. Basic Microwave oven for heating retails at around 5K.
. A good electric Oven retails for less than 6K.
The advantage is that not only do you have two devices, but in case of any problem in one, you still have the other one.

If your wife is interested in baking a lot, then I suggest a Gas Cooking Range. The oven in a cooking range is way bigger at least 60 liters and you can bake and roast big pieces at a much lower cost. The cooking ranges are available from 20K all the way upto 1L. We have been using gas cooking ranges for more than 30 years for making bread, roasts and cakes.
