| ![]() Zenster, Try to get the FZ35 from the US if possible. I bought FZ28 last year from the US and I am extremely satisfied with it. You can't go wrong with a Panasonic Superzoom. |

| ![]() I am looking for a small pocket camera. Budget $500 (Rs. 25-30K). 75% shots will be indoors in poor light (family dinner etc..). So low light and strong flash (I intend to diffuse the flash using a white plastic card) are essential. Shutter/Aperture selection would be nice. A fast (f<2.8) Lens from 28-80 or 24-60 (a la LX3) is also essential. Lastly JPG IQ is king. I dont want to waste time in post (in PC) processing. I just want to take photos stick the SD card in my PS3 and watch it on the TV. Instant gratification The ones that almost fits the bill are the Panasonic FX500 and Canon S90. I have also heard a lot of good things about the Leica CLUX3. What about the Panny LX2/Leica DLux3? Following have been eliminated: Canon SX200/Nikon P6000 (slow lens, too big) Panny LX3 (a bit too big - that lens should have been tucked in!) Leica DLUX 4 (too expensive) Panny FX580 (low light performance might be suspect) |

| ![]() I saw some awesome, "unbelievable" prices for digital equipment, including DSLRs on smartshopper.in. Does anyone have experience in buying from this site? How reputable is it and are the products grey-market to be sold at such a rate? And the warranty? |

for eg the below website for panny fz35. Panasonic DMC-FZ35K 12.1MP Digital Camera - Black: Compare Prices, View Price History and Read Reviews at NexTag look at top 10 sellers. their seller ratings, the reviews and their current offers. the pick of bunch is 42nd photo with lowest price and free shipping and cleaning kit. another website is PriceGrabber.com - Comparison Shopping, Online Shopping, Product Reviews hope this helps to prospective buyers. good luck ![]()

| ![]() just found out why everybody has been complaning about image quality of SX20IS, it does not allow super fine JPG. which means probably the JPG compression is killing the image quality. hopefully CHDK (when it's available) will allow raw to be extracted. |

| ![]() Guys am going to buy a camera this week. Please advice which among the 2 is good. Fuji finepix S2000HD or Nikon P90? My budget is around 25 to 30k.However 2 of my colleagues are using Fuji and they got it at 13k with warranty. It looks like VFM. But when it comes to technicalities of cams i am a dud. Please let me know if there better options in that price bracket other than what i have mentioned. |

With that kind of a budget , include the FZ28 ( FZ38 is out as well ) , S9600 and Powershot S3 IS . Infact , my favourite suggestion would be the Samsung wb500 , but I dunno if your ok with the brand .

The word in the market is that Nikon never had good compacts, Fuji is losing its leadership and Panasonic is coming on very strong. Not bad for a brand that had a bad name for unacceptably noisy (bad image quality) cameras from the day it ventured into camera manufacture till just last year.
