OnePlus would really do well to get OIS back as the videos shot are not stable at all. So much so that the same video shot with OP3t is better than OP5. This is from first hand experience.

I am looking to replace wife's aging Galaxy J7 (2015 edition) with a new phone in the upcoming Diwali sale from Amazon (preferred) or Flipkart.

Main requirements are:

1) Decent camera (atleast as good as Galaxy J7).
2) Fast charging support is a bonus
3) Internal memory >=32 GB.
4) Phone with Gorilla glass is preferred because of kids you know.

Please let me know some suitable suggestions. Budget is around 15k.

That includes exchange price for the S7 edge? If its in good condition, id suggest trying to sell on olx. Should sell for atleast 23k if its in good condition, and even more if you are lucky.

Yes, by using the Note 8 upgrade program through My Galaxy. Quoted price is 18600 :(

Got my Note8 Yesterday. It was delivered to a friend in US on October 1st. I had ordered it on September 7th. There was an offer only for September wherein we could choose a wireless charger + a 128gb memory card or a gear 360 camera as a gift. Since I already owned a wireless charger since two years for my Note 3 And also the gear 360 camera, both were useless for me. I still ordered a Gear360 and sold it to a friend. So finally the phone worked out for 50k for me. Have been loving the phone so far and more than anything, loving Bixby and how my Indian accent is recognised effortlessly.

On the negative side, I'm missing the IR blaster very much. Also the Gallery app is really bad.

Honor 9i is the hottest kid on the block. It just went on sale last night and reviewers like GeekyRanjit have been raving about its camera. Fulfils your other requirements too.

as basic as sorting of albums on different parameters isn't possible. Then after taking a picture on the camera, when i go to the gallery from the camera itself, it shows all images(even whatsapp). I tried adding .nomedia but still doesn't work. I can't changethe display style from list to grid.

Just want a opinion from fellow gadget geeks if it's a wise decision to replace Galaxy Note 4 with Galaxy S7. I will for sure miss the extra screen space of 0.6 inch and the Spen. Flipkart is offering me the S7 for 18k after exchange and cashback.

If you are ready to sacrifice the S-Pen go for it. Spec wise its still on point.

I would say the S8 or the Note 8 would be the ideal replacement. 18K is steep for an old phone IMO.
