It's more likely to be rogue app which is eating away your battery. Can you charge your phone fully and at close to the end see the battery settings that show the apps that are consuming battery? Any surprises there?

Second thing you can do is to check which apps are running on the background potentially eating battery even when they are not in the foreground.

The last thing I would suggest is to do a factory reset of the phone.

If none of the above fixes the problem, then there may be a real issue with the battery. Temporary solutions: reduce screen refresh rate (100hz usually consumes more power). Switch on battery saver. Both the above will save battery at the cost of experience... But if your experience is still manageable, then worth before changing phone/battery and other more drastic steps.

Anybody else facing this? Even the overnight battery drain is about 20%. I might just sell this off reluctantly.
Go to location setty, turn off both Bluetooth and wifi scanning. Ensure you turn these off periodically, as Google maps activates this sometimes. This will help. We have a S21 in the family, and this helped

Hi. If you are in a poor network area kindly turn off 5G. It is a major battery drain. At my workplace, I get very poor battery life as the phone constantly switches between 2G, 4G, LTE, and 5G. In addition, the 5G shown will not be true 5G if you check using network tools.

Hi All, thanks for the inputs. I have tried all the suggestions, it's still the same. I might sell this off as it's very frustrating. Getting worse day by day.

Even though interested in Pixel, seeing the 128 gb version only pushes it back again.

Wow. The pricing is too expensive for the Pixel! 75k+ does not feel like value to me.

Yup, and I do not see any huge changes that Google has done for the Pixel 8, other than just increase the years of OS update support. The rest seems to be all pfaff.

I'll only buy this phone if the price drops by 15-20K by summer next year. Also, we'll know clearly if there are any issues with the phone by then.

Any idea of there might be a 8A version?

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Check this MKBHD video, Marques seems quite taken with the 8 series.

There is a good chance the 8A will be released sometime next year. But considering the price they have set for the 8, I do not think, 8a will be affordable(relatively) either.

The 6A that I got for my father at Rs.23k after exchange is so much VFM proposition.

Yes, it is good. The pain point is the pricing. It starts at $699 in the US. Considering purchasing power parity, it should cost less than that in India. I was very eager to buy the 8 it was under 50K after exchange and discounts.

Downloaded & installed Android 14 on my Pixel 6A. Few notable features compared to Android 13.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

@guys, I am looking for a replacement for my S20FE 5G and looking at the Amazon and Flipkart upcoming sales.

If anyone comes across a great deal, do share here for the benefit of the community!
