Due credit to the reviewer and videographer. I found this video on YouTube and the Youtubers name includes several characters of a language other than English. Hence I cannot include the Youtubers handle name.

Sorry, but this is the best I could find. It's a chinese review with English subtitles. I can't find any written reviews, else I would have used my best buddy Google translate and voila! There's an English review for the ix25.
Thanks for sharing the review. Its fun to see how the perceptions of reviewers differ from country to country. China is probably a much bigger and more mature car market than India and hence the reviewer's perception the car is very unexciting.
We Indian's on the other hand have been talking an waiting for the ix25 for months now with our fingers crossed.

Thanks for the link.
It confirmed my worst fears with Hyundai Car....
Good looking, all creature comforts, but when it comes to heart (Engine) and the character (Ride), its still a Korean Car.

Hyundai has really done well to make itself look like a premium choice in the broad consumer segment. Their new design language is working really well for the brand.

However, I do wish that they would consider localising the santa fe in order to bring it down to a more affordable price level. On the other hand, if it were possible to reverse engineer the ix35 to make it a 7 seater, that would be real bonus too

On the question of ride quality: Its been said the same for all Hyundai products for a long time. Now having driven a Duster for some time, it will be difficult to find a change. Ride quality is some thing which I will find it difficult to match. Why is it that they cant work on it? Esp for SUVs and X-Overs.

Can't wait to see it in flesh. Frankly, I'm a little bit disappointed with the suspension of my Fluidic Verna right now, but I'm a fan of Hyundai's interior design & quality.

I wanted to get into compact SUV segment after the Ecosport launch, but both Duster and Ecosport failed to impress me. Hence, I've been keeping big hopes on this car since I heard the rumors.

If it really comes with 1.6 Engine, 17 inch alloys, 6 speed Auto gear box and with a matured suspension setup, I will be the first one in my city to book this one. Pricing & other extra features doesn't bother me much, unless it's priced more than a XUV 500

Ditto. Am waiting for this with an auto box too but must be at least a 5 speed one.

The Hyundai ix25 (nee "GS") was spotted testing in Chennai, with a Ford EcoSport in tow as a benchmark car.

Indian Autos Blog reader, Jahnavee R, snapped the Hyundai ix25 on test in Chennai recently. The ‘Smoke Grey’ Ford EcoSport seen in these spyshots is a benchmark car being used by Hyundai’s engineers, sources told Indian Autos Blog.

Expected to launch in India in the August-September period.

What purpose does driving a benchmark alongside at all times serve?
Sorry for this newbie question.

Won't it be more logical and cost effective to do that in a controlled environment like a lab.

The vehicle has to run in real time situation on roads. Testing in a lab will never give a correct picture. It'll be akin to ARAI mileage figures.

Spotted the ix25 on the DND on Saturday evening. Had a Ford Ecosport for company. It had better presence than the Ecosport and looked a little bigger as well. Car had projector headlamps and the alloys were the same as available on the Chinese variant (saw when it stopped to pay the toll).

The trunk space is comparable with Honda HRV. Not sure why Honda is telling us it will be costly for us :(
