| ![]() I think that in addition to the performance another reason could be from the marketing guy's perspective that when people would see and even click pictures of the camouflaged vehicle then the comparison would happen with its nearest competitor. |

![]() All black is considered as a low cost or cheap option here in India. Terribly irritating when only two-tone interior options are offered on top trim. At least, make all black an option on the top trims also. When will Hyundai learn? Look at the Polo GT or Ecosport top end trim. ALL BLACK interiors. Also, do we know if 4 or 6 airbags are on offer on top trim? Edit: expected pricing is 11-15 Lakhs. Doesn't matter (to me) now, makes the top variant out of reach for me. :( Last edited by k_ajay : 7th May 2015 at 16:49.

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Wasn't this pricing range expected? Firstly because of size, secondly because of fit and finish compared to Duster and lastly the availability of a more powerful engine compared to K9K 108 bhp. |

| ![]() No mention of transmission? I hope there is a mid range automatic in the 13 L segment. |

I'm not sure though if 11-15 is aggressive pricing. If I had the capacity to afford a vehicle in that price range, I would definitely go in for the now settled and proven XUV 5OO. But anyway, this car will surely go on to do well like most other Hyundai vehicles. I was only lamenting for myself and my inability to afford the mentioned price range.

Agreed. They have to meet the Chidambaram guideline for compact cars. With the current drop in rupee against the dollar we can look at another price increase by all manufacturers shortly. The more we wait for something the more we pay. The Elantra costs a whopping 2.5 lakhs more now from when I bought it in 2013. Last edited by Arjun Reddy : 8th May 2015 at 07:06.

| ![]() So according to speculations, these will be the colour combos for the ix25. Due credit to respective photographers. The base variant: ![]() The top end variants ![]() ![]() ![]() I really think this is the best by far though, and should be offered in India: ![]() Not as monotonous as black, not as gaudy as blue, and not as difficult to maintain as beige. I'm a passionate beige hater, by the way ![]() |

| ![]() I wonder why did Autocar even share these spy pics? They really do love watermarks a lot,so much that I couldn't figure a thing out of that picture. |

However, there is also a tax saving to be made if the engine capacity is <=1500cc (for both petrol & diesel), even for vehicles that are >4m in length. These are the current excise slabs (graphic courtesy - Business Standard): ![]() (1) The 12% slab is for vehicles that meet the government definition of "small cars". (2) The 24% slab is for those with an engine capacity of <=1500cc (both petrol & diesel), but do not fall under category (1). (3) The 27% slab is for vehicles with an engine capacity of >1500cc (both petrol & diesel), that do not fall under category (4). (4) Vehicles that meet the government definition of "SUVs" come under the 30% excise slab. With 1.6 litre engines, the ix25 is likely to come under the 30% excise slab. If Hyundai manage to perform some tricks ![]() With a 1.4 litre engine (petrol or diesel), the ix25 will attract only 24% excise duty. So a 1.4 litre engine on the ix25 can translate into excise savings of either 3% or 6% (depending on what slab the 1.6 litre ix25 comes under). Last edited by RSR : 8th May 2015 at 14:30.

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Dear TBhp Guys, Saw this rather large (Camaflouged) SUV with a garland(??!) at Hosur-Attibele State Border. It had a large "1" on its front and rear glasses (There were a "2" mule too). "3" was a Duster "4" was a EcoSport. ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT - If it matters - 3 and 4 were generously "Garlanded" too ![]() Last edited by svsantosh : 8th May 2015 at 16:06. |
