Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

Doesn't it look like a Swift?
I honestly can't believe they went through all this to launch a "Swift on stilts".

They will position it much lower than the i20 on stilts aka Creta. :P
On a serious note, resemblance with Swift in that rendering is not a bad thing at all. The front is gonna be totally different looking than the Swift and I am sure the resemblance whatsoever won't be this visible in the actual product. Also, we should not make such judgemental comments even before the car is launched.

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

They have surely named it correctly. Vitara Grand is quite known already. Vitara Brezza name means they want to show its like its younger sibling. Spot on. And if it looks like render then we have one more blockbuster product from Maruti. Even it its like a swift cross it will still sell.

Maruti Vitara Brezza’s headlight teased.
They are going to showcase the Suzuki Ignis and the Maruti Baleno RS concept.

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

Maruti has updated their Brezza page with front image of a car. Usually brands do show some image of the car as a teaser without giving away too much details.

Strangely though, the car in the background does not appear to be Brezza. The headlight looks like that of Audi while grill design looks like Datsun. Not sure why a manufacturer would put a random picture.

OMG!! That is an Audi Q3 with the Audi grill minus Audi logo (Replaced with Suzuki).

I think the webpage developer saved some time/money/ effort and copy pasted images form the internet. Quite a shame really to see the national manufacturer doing this. Local accessory guys who put up a website do this kind of stuff.

Good catch, that indeed is Audi Q3 and a quick Google search showed this as one of the first few image which is possibly the same one used on the Brezza site.

1 min to search on Google and possibly 5 mins to photoshop is all it took.

Thanks for finding the image. This is indeed a new low from Maruti Suzuki. Now what are the chances that Audi notices this and files a lawsuit against maruti.
I see this image going down in the next couple of days for sure and a web developer losing his job.

Is the Vitara brezza not good looking enough to sport its own silhouette?

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

Maruti seems to have the wrong people employed. I remember the Ciaz boot render having the exact same baggage as the City. I find it really hilarious but then only we folks on t-bhp would note this whereas majority of the population would just ignore it!!!

I was so excited that the car looked stunning like the Audi and then disaster unveils! Maruti's quality checks are below par. It's not the developer who should take the blame, Maruti's marketing manager should be fired first! Proper instructions, supporting materials and a review & sign off before taking this LIVE -- all these are the brand team's responsibility.

Keeping the agency who has developed the image / page responsible, is not the right thing to do in such cases.

I hope you are referring to marutisuzuki.com - I don't see the image now in that site. Have they realized the mistake and removed it already?

The image is very much there even at this moment. Click on the Know More button.
Is the Vitara Brezza front end really inspired by the Aud Q3i. Rushlane speculates so. Link: https://www.rushlane.com/maruti-vita...-12180395.html

The image is still live, following is the microsite of Vitara Brezza.

http://www.marutisuzuki.com/vitarabrezza.aspx

Highly unlikely that Maruti will so openly copy Audi Q3 in the production version. Also the design of front spied in all the pics so far do not match with this.

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

Some info on R&D of the Vitara Brezza, and more.

1. First-ever passenger vehicle in Maruti’s portfolio that has been conceptualised, engineered and developed by the Indian team.

2. Only two things – vehicle’s wind tunnel and rust endurance testing – took place at parent Suzuki’s global engineering facility.

3.. All processes of per Suzuki's standards were followed during the development of the vehicle but also keeping in mind requirements of the Indian customers.

4.The Vitara Brezza will be exported to some of the emerging markets

5. Sees bright opportunity in the Compact SUV segement

6. Maruti Suzuki has two offerings now in UV segment –premium cross-over S-Cross and a compact multi utility vehicle Ertiga. The new Vitara Brezza is expected to fill the gap in the fast-growing compact segment.

7. Total development cost to be divulged at unveiling
