Here are some pictures I captured from the official logo reveal video:







The XUV is wearing a blue colour which is the designated shade for Mahindra's marketing campaign.
It's not much, but I hope it provides more clarity on what the car looks like.

Now how will this logo sit on a THAR. Completely out of place in my opinion. Mahindra should have stuck to their wordmark, it has a much more SUV butch stance.

That is why, in all probability, Thar will continue with the wordmark. Even the outgoing logo would not suit the Thar well.
In a similar manner, the wordmark wouldn't suit products like the Marrazzo, XUV300 and yes, the XUV700. Think of the Hectors on the road with Morris Garages lettering. Looks so cheap.

Another day, another test mule. Spotted 5 Mahindra XUV 7OOs, a Scorpio and a Bolero Pickup being tested on the Coimbarore - Salem highway. Could only manage a picture of the XUV, though.

Thanks RPMmachine. Thats an interesting observation. However, the conclusion might be an over reach. Electric powertrain can imply mild hybrid, plug in hybrid or even battery EV. Also, these electric variants may be launched later or along with the base variants.

For the time being, the XUV7oo official website seems to point to only diesel and petrol powertrains. Therefore, in all likelihood XUV7oo might be a mild hybrid. Never the less, it will be interesting to see how this story unfolds.

Oddly, it looks like majority of the taillamp cluster is going to be just the taillight, and only a small part will be the actual brake light. Will look weird, especially during the daytime:

Doesn't look as if the logo area is large enough to hide the radar/other equipment needed for ADAS. But who knows.

I for one am really looking forward to seeing if it gets Adaptive Cruise Control. In cities where line driving is adhered to, it could be a really useful feature to have. Will certainly be useful on highways, especially the new expressways.

Butterfly logo for SUVs! Mahindra should have done better.
Probably they could have reserved this logo for their EV line ups.

Thanks for the update. I Just saw the post on rushlane.
They have posted through their official youtube channel, but this video is not updated on Mahindra XUV700 Page at the time of this post.
They should update this video on the official page too.

Yes you are right. But First full electric vehicle is marked as Born EV1 in 2025. So mostly it will be Mild Hybrid. Lets see what they have for us on 14th Aug 4PM.

I had a word with the local dealer and he told me that they are not aware of anything on XUV700.
There are no test vehicles and no one in the showroom is aware of XUV700 launch. Even no training.
Is it the same as Skoda Kushaq?

"Videos for kids" do not allow the use of miniplayer on the YouTube mobile app, i.e minimising the video and scrolling YouTube. Mahindra probably did this to ensure people watch the entire video.
