Mahindra has already confirmed AWD long back.

Here is an image from the XUV700 website.

PS: Regarding the ventilated seats I don't think they are there. There seems to be no button suggesting that. Here are two images of the Central console I had a naive attempt at enhancing.

Both seem not to have a Ventilated seats button (albeit they aren't very clear). If there are ventilated seats then they would be accessible through the HU I guess.

Anyways, we will know on 14th.

re: Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs

Here’s a look at those perforated seats. From the protrusion, it seems that they will at least have good thigh support.

Next, it should not come as a surprise that the dark UI is hiding quite a chunky bezel around the display. Messing with the exposure makes that amply clear. I can live with that.

Finally, a screenshot of the display does confirm a few more details:

1. There is support for Alexa notifications also, as seen from the dot next to the Alexa icon.
2. The XUV 700 will support WiFi and cellular connectivity both.
3. The second signal indicator seems to be a bit of a mystery given that it has a battery icon next to it.

Probably the connected phone battery and signal strength.

You're probably right, and that's what I had thought as well. But I wasn't sure if a mere Bluetooth connection conveys phone signal strength and battery status to the car. CarPlay/Android Auto certainly can, but didn't seem engaged.

I was also trying intently to spot any icons for the ventilated seats zooming into the video, pausing, etc., but couldn't spot any yet (clearly). However, some members have pointed out that the seats are coming with memory function. If that is true and an option, then it is possible Mahindra could have provisioned a button for ventilated seats on the seat itself. Next to the memory seat profiles buttons.

Reference example of where it could be placed: https://cdni.autocarindia.com/Utils/...-seats.jpg&c=0 (Image source: Autocar India)

Keenly waiting for 14th. I hope Mahindra haven't missed an important feature many of our cities with harsh summers will find much need for.

Also, has anyone noticed that none of the mini-reveal videos have covered any aspects of the middle row and last row? I hope there will be some nice surprises to find on 14th. I hope Mahindra brings back (?) the middle row pillar AC along with the centre console AC for middle row. Along with proper adult seating space in 3rd row. That's something that would truly wow most of us.

A friend working in M&M assures aggressive pricing, tells me that the Top model will surely be priced around Safari Top model.

Eagerly waiting for the launch event now.
One more feature that can be confirmed, from this screen grab (below) is some sort of air purification/ filtration that cars are coming out with, in these times (like Kia, Skoda Kushaq/ VW Taigun, etc.).

See the mention of "Smart Clean Zone" with an icon next to it; seems to me like one depicting filtration. So let's say 'Smart Air Purification' to be another feature that's likely confirmed, via this image information. Along with confirmed Dual Zone Climate Control.

If you see the same image closely, below, one (left first) signal strength indicator seems to be for mobile and another (2nd) shows a car image. Perhaps that's for the car's SIM (for connected car smart features). The last battery icon seems to be indicator for wireless charging?

Yep, I see a home, phone, and customizable shortcut button. I too like the idea of having multiple ways to control the infotainment system. This dial will probably easier to use on the go rather than reaching to touch the screen.

re: Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs

Everybody's checking items off the features list, but there's one important item which is being overlooked: the interior color!

Being such a light shade, it's bound to get spoilt sooner rather than later. I can live without ventilated seats, but I hope Mahindra offers an option of darker interiors, if not at launch then maybe 6 months down the line.

re: Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs

Some additional observations from playing their video in a reduced speed. Mahindra has thrown in a lot of the info and have teased well, I'd say.

Keep your screen momentarily on full brightness, while viewing these images.

1. Powered seats buttons/ controls are on the doors. At least, confirmed, for the driver's seat. (not on the seats themselves, as I suspected earlier).

Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs-xuv7oo-power-seats-control-2.png

2. Infotainment system has options for Radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Plus some custom UI (seen as the first circle).
Also notice on the driver's instrument binnacle - directional indicators from maps in the centre of the MID.
Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs-xuv7oo-infotainment.png

3. Front camera enabling a 360 degrees camera setup (and potentially for ADAS features?)
Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs-xuv7oo-front-camera-1.png
Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs-xuv7oo-front-camera-2.png

4. Side mirror camera? Seems to be so, but can also be hallucinating.
Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs-xuv7oo-side-mirror-camera.png

5. It can be claimed now that the XUV7OO won't be having ALL LED lights. The brake stop lamp and the reverse fog light seem to be halogen bulbs and not LED lights. The arrow head tail light and turn signal indicators are LEDs.

There are some YouTube videos which have shown these and I've tried to re-create them from Mahindra's own videos. Likewise, try reducing the play speed and see what else you can glean. (or wait for 4pm on 14th Aug).

The interiors look so classy, I am in love already! This got to be the best made Indian car till date, at least interior-wise. From the screen grabs and video, quality looks top notch too.

Actually connecting the Bluetooth itself is enough to show signal and battery strength(that’s the case in my Polo)

While I hope the interior looks as classy as we see in these videos, I suspect it is also because of the clever lighting and some great photography. In reality, the black may end up little grayish instead of charcoal black and the seats a lot lighter.

I still don't understand why in spite of having such a large taillamp cluster, the brake light itself is so small. It looks like a rudimentary workaround for a malfunctioning taillamp.

re: Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs

I have been on a lookout for 7 seater for a year now. Because of lockdowns and new launches have been delaying a purchase, I had also booked Innova last December but cancelled it because of delays.
Mahindra is known for niggles, I own a TUV300 and was wondering if even Thar had niggles. I tried to search for but didn’t find anything significant like I saw for Safari.
If Thar didn’t have niggles and if that is an indicator of improved quality of new launches by Mahindra I might as well book the car now. The only reason to book now than 2-3 months would be the wait times we are seeing with Thar which might be similar for Xuv700. Any thoughts from fellow bhpians?

It looks like a USB connection not Bluetooth

re: Mahindra XUV700, now launched at 11.99 lakhs

Mahindra does a favor to TATA by keeping the white seats. So this will not be a differentiator. I am sure many would have held back on the Safari purely because of this challenge.

The interior overall looks well finished. A lot of it is based on some smart lighting. Will have to wait for a much clearer view. The logo on the steering wheel looks nice but the front grill logo is not looking great. All I see is a butterfly. SUV and butterfly do not go hand in hand.

Wonder how they will market this look? Chetah claw or may be mountain range but it will be a hard sell. Why burden themselves with that challenge when they already need to grab a decent marketshare to make this work.

End of the day, if priced fairly this will sell like the 500. I am curious to see if they are able to do a better job at servicing it than they did last time around.
