Scorpio VLX 4WD Manual- mix of highway and city(25%-75%, respectively), AC-100%, 4 persons with their laptops, HP/BPCL normal diesel, consistent FE-ranging from 10.4KMPL to 10.7 KMPL over last 4 months.

May please, note that its with micro hybrid with Pete's box installed and driving is spirited normally as much the heavy traffic would permit in city and within safe limits on the highway. Micro hybrid switch is always on, however, it doesnt switch off the engine amost half the times at various signals.

Planning a highway trip shortly and will monitor the FE. Hopefully, it should show some improvement.

I'm getting between 12-13km/l in the city, mostly with A/c, when driven moderately with one or two people. On the highways, we are normally only out for vacation! so its hard driving and it again returns 13km/l (Frequently touching 150km/h, and some bursts up to 170km/h).


BTW an update on the Ritz Vdi: Drove with a light foot for a tankful, between Delhi and Gurgaon, with AC almost 50%, got 20.1km/l .

In city: mostly B2B traffic, 60% AC
Sedate driving (revs below 2.5k)- 11-12km/l
Not-so-sedate driving (revs uptil 4.5k)- 10-11km/l
And yes, this is a 1.2l small hatchback
No highway stints so far.

City Driving: 12-13 kmpl with 50% AC usage; 14-15 kmpl with < 20% AC usage. FE generally varies from 11 to 15 kmpl depending on various conditions.
Highway: 24-25kmpl with 90% AC on; Maintaining a steady 70-80kmph most of the time.

All calculations done on tankful-to-tankful method at the same filling station and at the same fuel dispenser. Stop at first auto-cut-off.

City driving, 90% A/c on; try and time the travel to beat the traffic, gets caught in not-so-lengthy traffic jams occasionally.

Driving in 2nd and 3rd gears mostly so far (engine-run-in being the objective). Inexperienced driver (the KMs clocked by my Ritz is pretty much the entire independent driving I have ever done) - so, might be doing many things wrong.

I filled in about 25.85 litres on friday night. My tank to tank method gave me 14.89 on my 2005 Zen (67,000 on the ODO).
