What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Alto which has finished its 2nd service gives me about 12.5 Kmpl with AC on all the time. I have not checked the highway mileage but I think its close to around 17Kmpl with AC.

my Esteem vxi...run just 1047 kms gives around 9 to 10 in city...100 %ac on..nd around 13 in the highway.... Got the first service done in 750 kms....Expectin the FE to rise after second service...Well it should right??

Petra petrol 1.6

City FE: 7.5 to 8.5 KMPL (I drive a KM eachway every day and a total of 4 KMs). It goes from 8.5 to 10 KMPL when I go for longer city drives or outskirts trips.

Highway FE : approx 11.5 to 13 A/C on fully loaded. Lower side of the number comes because of breaks of 10-20 mins with engine and A/C on.

I have not seen much difference in city FE with/ without A/C.

My Safari 4x4 of 1998:

In City: between 8 & 10 kmpl depending on traffic conditions that includes jams etc.. 100% AC on

Highway: 10.5 to 11.6 kmpl with 100% AC on.

My Scorpio GLx of 2004:

In City: between 10 & 11.5 kmpl depending on traffic conditions that includes jams etc.. 100% AC on

Highway: yet to check

My ZenLxi 2003 has been giving me 16.5 kmpl consistently in Hyd traffic. I have a run of about 45km everyday and the a/c is on about 40% of the time. I use BP Speed. Planning to put a KN filter - got to see what happens.

The alto is quite new, did only 5000km, still gives about 14-15kmpl. I dont use BP Speed on this one!!

Hi,

I recently went to a temple near Tirupati(called Kanipakam) with full load(from bangalore and back) on a day trip. I appear to have done 486 km after refuelling with about 30litres of shell super petrol. That is a pretty decent 16km/l with full load and AC on.

tata sumo turbo victa gx a horrid 6.5-7 in city and 9 on highway after 1st sevice and tinkering with 'cat' and fp its 9-10 in city(with ac)

My Skoda Laura DSG gives around 9-10kmpl in City with ac on always.
and around 13-14kmpl on highways with ac on always. (in highways crusing mostly between 120-160kmph. Tried driving at 100 kmph for some time, and the trip computer started showing an average of around 17kmpl! but just cant keep driving like that!
How much is the Manual giving in city?

apologies - there was an error in computation. the exact numbers came through during refuelling:525km in 39.2 litres which is about 13.x km/l

Hey chocoguy....thats pretty low. If you drive yourself even without a light foot, theres no way the Baleno can give you less than 10 kmpl. The lowest i've got is 9.98 kmpl in Mumbai with a/c on all the time and regularly get close to 11 kmpl. How old is your car? Have you done any mods?

My ambassador gave me 8 - 9.5kpl (no a/c in it). Sold it off.

Current 10-11 in city with a/c on and 11-12 in city without a/c.
Have not checked it out on highway.. only highway is within mumbai limits...

i have got a 2001 model Honda city 1.3. and a 98 model ZEN. Both of them mostly used in a town with moderate traffic conditions. Honda gives me around 14 with ac always on. Zen gives me only around 12 with 80% ac on.
But on highways Honda gives me a neat 18+ with ac. Zen gives me around 17 with ac.
