What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Palio 1.2 NV gives me a city mileage of 11-12 kpl(100% a/c) and 15-16 kpl on hiway.

Guys,

My fiesta Sxi 1.6 gives me around 9.75 - 10 Kmpl with in the City. It has just run 1500 Kms. I haven't blasted it across the Highway. I was told by the Ford that Mileage would improve only after 5000 Kms.

I travel daily around 40 kms across Chennai. I don't switch on my AC

whats your driving style when you say that you were ripping it --19.6 seems too unlikely for a fast drive!

- 13.5kmpl by driver, 15 is best, in city with no AC. Drops by 1 kmpl with AC.
- 20-21kmpl on highways.

Victa Turbo. [still at 9k]
- 9 kmpl in city, no AC. 3rd gear is max.
- 11.5 - 12kmpl on highways, 100% AC.

City:12-13kmpl with 100% Ac On
Highway-15.5-16 Kmpl with 100% Ac On
Best-19.5Kmpl with Speed(80-100Kmph) never exceeded 100Kmph and 90% Ac On
Worst On Highway:12.5Kmpl with speed 120-140Kmph most of the time on NH4 and 100% Ac On

My City -98 automatic gives me FE of 6 in city... its done around 80k and I picked it up from Linkway Honda... Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

@ajishvj, are you trying to make a statement about your Petra FE by posting it 16 times ? I hope not and assume that it is a mistake.

My OHC VTEC has been giving a constant FE of about 10-14 kmpl depending on the position of my right foot. However, once my driver drove it for a long distance trip at a much more sedate pace than me and the FE was around 16 kmpl! But only once :-(

Best No AC :- 13.6

Highway No AC Cool. driving.. (60 -90 KMPH) :- 18
Highway with 100% AC :- 16

do you guys know how to get good efficiancy????
1. fill gas in the late evening
2. at a fuel pump where the dispenser is relatively new
3. use your own addittives
4. fill the tank when it has 50% fuel

early mornings would be a better time to fuel up, as far as I have heard.
How does point 4 help ?

I used to get 13-14 kmpl with A/C in delhi traffic, in a Xing. and around 15kmpl in the winters.

Never used to rev her up - always liked the lower-end punch of the engine.
