Yes, at times !

Sorry for the late response. I had a crash and had to get the radiator repaired.

With the weather geeting cooler, I prefer to switch off the engine and wait

Update :

Tankful to Tankful : 8.2 kms

I feel like getting out and walking - suppose will reach faster that way.

Mode: Tankful to tankful
AC : 90 % on

Still experimenting with different pump outlets. IOC seems to do it for me.

CAR- Swift Deisel VDI
ODO- 4500 kms
Mode- Tank to Tank
Mileage - 15-16 (though mostly in the lower 15 region) with AC on most times.
Drivin conditions - town driving conditions with moderate amount of potholes and pretty good traffic

Fuel used- IBP normal diesel

Hey guys out there, is the mileage i am getting on my swift good enough?
I sometimes see figures of around 18 -19 in city driving conditions being posted here with ac on .

But i think the average FE being posted here is around 16-17 in city driving conditions.

and also is the fuel i am using at the moment good enough. or should i switch to somethings else. Please suggest the best possible fuel to be used to get the max FE.

Looking forward to the valuable advices of you BHP'ians out there.

Hey BUSA i think u are the best person to advice me as you too drive the same car ...pleaseee

well my accent viva crdi gives me,
16kmpl+ in the city tank to tank with the A.C. 50% of the time.
on highways it with a.c. full time the best it gave me was 21kmpl
i drive the car in the ecomomy mode most of the time so the mileage is around 16.
the worst was 11kmpl with total spirited driving with full time a.c on, in the city!
well there was this goa trip (goa-hyderabad) the car was fully loaded, with five people and the boot was full too, duing the whole trip i was never below 90kmph and was never above 160kmph and still the average was 14kmpl that was the most impressive average the car returned till date with such load!

the M800 usually gives me 13kmpl+ in the city no ac in it, its quite old done 1lac + kms on the odo.

the pulsar 180 my ex-bike was giving me 48kmpl in the city in the economy mode and 30kmpl with the spirited riding in the city.
on highway it gave me 31+kmpl with constant 90kmph riding most of the time on highway.

the unicorn's best was 57kmpl even after the karizma mags and 120/80 tyre at the rear the highway economy mode.
otherwise in the city it gives me above 45kmpl!

I fill up the tank each time so these figures are reasonably accurate.
My Honda City CVT gives me around 9 kms in town - taking into account 3 factors - A/c switched on 100% - very poor road conditions - heavy traffic.
I have done only one 'proper' highway trip and the figure I got was a bit under 13 kms.
Not too unhappy with these figures.

I get 16-18 kmpl in Chandigarh city driving with AC 80% of time, and around 19-20kmpl on highways with AC running everytime...
Method used to calculate FE is tankful to tankful... and I use HP regular diesel.

SX4 ZXi.

City

Worst case - 10.5 Best case - 11 Kmpl
All with 100% A/C in pathetic traffic. I drive through Airport Rd, Marathahalli, Kundanahalli, EPIP layout and then to Whitefield Road.

Highway - 14.5 with full load in trunk and 5 members. 100% A/C.

I use Shell Unleaded/BP Unleaded. Method used is Full tank to identify mileage.

Extremely happy with the mileage figures. My expectation was 10 with the tyre size and traffic conditions in mind.

As of November 11, 2007 (I fill my car at the end of the week), my Corolla H4 auto bought in March 2007 had clocked 12590 on the odo.

KMs: 12590
Petrol (ltrs): 1212.07
FE: 10.44
Petrol cost: Rs. 52300
Cost per km: Rs. 4.15

Could see a 5-10% increase in FE in the winters.
