If it is the new shape Vento, I think you should quote around 5.5 lakhs and give it for around 5 lakhs.

Use Team BHP classifieds (instead of OLX etc.) where you have high chances of finding a car enthusiast who knows his stuff. Normal folks won't tread anywhere near a Volkswagen with 1 lakh kms on the odo. Add to that, future of diesel cars is uncertain in NCR area and not many are willing to put their money on a diesel.

But how did your engine fail to this extent that it had to be replaced in a bit over 60k km?

I am planning to part away with my June 2016, Skoda Octavia Style Plus 1.8. Two months after buying of car, i relocated to Singapore. Luckily, i still got a chance to keep driving the car, as i used to visit Kerala frequently. Did about 34000 KM in three years Of which around 25 will be driven by me and rest by a single driver, who was well trained in driving the car with care, understanding the nuances of driving a DSG. Now i am relocating to UK and chances of driving my Octavia will be next to nil. Of course, i have already started looking prices of a Kodiak in UK and it is encouraging, especially after seeing the crazy prices in Singapore. Car is much loved and has zero reported issues. It is in excellent condition. New battery installed in last service done in June. Reliance insurance with full protection including engine protect. Ceramic coated body with paint still shining as a new car. Location thrissur, Kerala. What is the right price?

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi all,

I am looking to sell my Punto 1.3 Active. ODO reads about 96k and the car was registered in Delhi in Oct 2009. Wouldn't have sold it, but thanks to NGT.

Car is in excellent condition with all four suspensions changed recently. No other issues detected so far. Still clocks over 21kmpl on highways and around 17 in city runs in Delhi.

What should be an ideal price. Those offered by Cars 24 etc are not at all satisfactory.

Meanwhile, I stumbled upon a 2008 Cedia which has on paper run 46000. The dealer is selling it for 1.25L. How good or bad is the idea to buy this car in Delhi. I have always liked the bare bones characteristics of the cedia.

Guys, I have a Ford EcoSport Titanium + AT, manufactured in Aug 2018. Pune registered. Done around 7k kms. I am thinking of selling it. What price can I expect? Are the cash buying services like Cars24 and Quickr good?

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

What can i expect for my 2012 Nissan Sunny XL Diesel, Chennai registered?

- 1st owner, almost entirely driven only by me
- Bronze Grey color
- 59000 kms
- Serviced exclusively at Nissan Authorised centers
- Generally good condition - there are a few minor dents / scratches on the bumpers due to careless 2 wheelers in Bangalore
- Stock condition, no modifications or extra fittings

Cars24/Gaadi.com show a paltry number of 2.5L whereas I see similar cars on Olx listed for as high as 4L+

- New tyres, replaced in Jan 2019

I would say you can expect a resale value of 3.2L to 3.8L

Source - A few ads on olx and OBV

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

What would be the ideal price for a used 330i and 530d from 2012, and how much would I need to keep in reserve for repairs?

IMO Cars24 valuation makes sense. BHPian Karan sold his 4 year old Scala for 3.2 lakhs a few years back. That was in Mumbai. I don't think you'll get more than 3 lakhs for a 7 year old car, even if it happens to be in Bangalore.
