Better get in touch with a commission agent for the same, will get the things done while yourself sitting on the couch.

Btw, how much quote do you got for the same ?

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

Hi guys -- just a quick price check:

2010 BMW 330i, 58000 KM, Delhi registration, new tyres, in reasonably good condition. No major accidents, but a few dings here and there on the bumpers.

This model has a sunroof, idrive (but no a2dp).

What should be the price I offer for this?

Hi Folks!

I'm planning on buying a used i10, the details are given below.
Model : i10 magna 1.2 Kappa
Color: beige
Year : June 2012, Pune
Kms : 4782

Seller wants 3.8L for the car. Is that a decent price for me to pick up the car?

Thanks!
Varun

Some fats :: We are very close to 2014, the 330i last pieces sold for 31 OTR in Delhi.

15-16L should be a fair price considering you will have to sheel out around 70-80k to get it it Bombay registered.

Just for resale idea, there was a 2007 325i on the classifieds for 10-11L.

Hi -- I've now moved to delhi -- so I won't be registering it in Bombay. But thanks for the price guidance -- I'll keep that in mind. I would have thought 15-18, the owner (my uncle) is expecting about 18.

I don't know who is the source in your case. But just yesterday a friend who owns garages at multiple places in pune was talking about an year old i10 which had done about 4k and was sold for 3.75lakhs. I have a gut Feeling that you are being offered the same car. Price seems ok! Did you check for the service records?

Price-check tool for Used cars, now on Team-BHP

We've recently integrated IndianBlueBook's used car price look-up feature on Team-BHP. It can be found here, as part of our Classifieds section. The tool allows you to run a quick price-check on used cars by entering basic year and model details.

The returned pricing can be a useful guideline for those planning to sell their car, as well as for those looking to purchase a used vehicle. The pricing data is extrapolated from a history of completed sales (using the final sale price - not the asking price) at Mahindra's multi-brand 'FirstChoice' used car dealers. The mileage figure used in the calculations is assumed to be 12,000 kms per year.

Highlights:
  • All cars from 1990 onward are included
  • 28 Manufacturers, 250 models, 2000 variants & counting
  • Tailored pricing for 150 cities & towns
  • Separate price ranges provided for individuals and dealers
  • IBB's algorithms account for price differences between cities, fuel types and variants
  • Prices are updated every 2 weeks

This tool provides a good starting point for used car transactions. Note that more popular cars will be well represented, but some of the rarer cars might have a greater variance due to limited data points. It's a good idea to jump over to our discussion thread for some further research too.

Here's the link to the Used Car Price Check Tool once again.

Toyota Fortuner shows up only as a 4x2 model for 2011 4x4 is not visible, could you look into it.

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

Good to see that the Indian Blue Book is creating interest among Team-BHPians. I had created a thread before. But I did not realize that this website forecasts the prices based on Mahindra First Choice's transactions.

The old thread is here. Mods please merge the old thread with this thread (if required).

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

Not very happy with the pricing tool. I feel it needs more fine tuning.

1. For my Sunny diesel, april 2012 ( OTR price 9.2L) it showed a value of 4.7-5L. Thats almost 50% depreciation in a year for a diesel vehicle!

2. For my Altis diesel didn't throw up any price figure at all.

3. Hyundai Verna Petrol AT, 2011 model ( OTR price around 11L IIRC)- showed a price of 4.5-4.9L again which is too low and surely one will get much higher price in the market.

Nice addition but IMO needs further improvement.

e.g. Variants are not accurate, there is no Punto's variant called '1.3 Emotion Pack 90 HP' I guess.

Not showing any price for Navi Mumbai. Searched for my Punto & Spark

Price too low, I got Rs 3.7L-4.15L for my 2012 Punto 1.3 Emotion, when selected Mumbai. (Current on road I guess is 7.8L I guess).

EDIT: On second attempt for Punto, there is no output even after selecting Mumbai. Could be some issue with the tool.

Thanks Asit! Yes, I did check the service records with the service centre and they confirmed the same odo reading as well. Owner was moving abroad and hence the sale. We went ahead and bought the vehicle.

Thanks,
Varun
