This whole special permission and bending the rules are a little too much. This is especially true if the team is "heavy weight".

That is plain stupid and is not in the best interest of the sport as a whole.

If Schumi gets to test on an old car or on a simulator, its something Ferrari just got to live with. Its not right to bend the rules as they like or try to do so.

PS : I'm a Ferrari and MS fan. So don't get all "Tifosi" on me, please.

Correction from me. Apparently Toro Rosso did ask for permission and were denied.

Why should we rake up that issue, everyone knows F1 is not anyones personal computer these days.

Just because there might be a provision, teams might ask for permissions.

Dont we all see reason's to bend rules set at our work place (office)?

And Ferrari letting Schumi drive the 07 F1 clienti car, thats never a loophole, anyone can drive that car, its afterall a retired car, and the program allows any Ferrari clients test drive it.

Just because its Schumi, we start looking at loopholes.

Loopholes is everything!
How did you think Button/Brawn won 5 out of 6 races in the first part of 2009?

Red Bull maybe, but Williams? Nah! I'm sure they don't really care about the title this year. This is just Frank Williams doing what's right.

Interesting . Because it is also Kimi Raikkonens favourite track . He always reserves something extra for it . So Ferrari please get the car right !

Schumi's got racing in his blood and it doesn't really too long for him to come to terms with the new car. however, the 19 yr old new Torror Rosso driver had no exposure to this environment whatsoever. but he was just pulled in to taste the waters. Williams has raised a very valid point. Come on Schumi!! I'm a die hard McLaren fan but still will vouch for Schumi's drive coz it'll enliven the fading glory of F1.

Brilliantly put nitrous! They (Brawn) used it to their advantage whilst all the other teams were caught napping.

Creative interpretation of the rules has always been an integral part of F1. When you are striving for the last millisecond then this is but natural.

I suspect MS may esp. be keen to figure out as to the best way of using KERS. I am sure you will see him using it far more often and creatively than it has been done so far.

Any news on who Schumacher's engineer will be? Chris Dyer was his engineer but now works with Kimi. Will it be Rob Smedley or will they try to make Schumacher feel more comfortable by giving him his old engineer?

I think he'll be happy to work with either of them. But, considering that Chris is now with Kimi, I think Rob Smedly will step in.

Despite being a Schumi and Ferrari fan, am happy the test request was turned-down for whatever reasons. Now people wont say 'Look Schumi drove an extra day and obtained such a result' and start blaming Ferrari for everything.

Well, loopholes ain't racing mate and Ferrari of all people should't set such crazy examples.

Kimi will probably walk off in a huff to have another go at rallying in his (now) battered Fiat Punto Abarth, if his engineer were to be given to Schumi. Considering that Schumi is standing in for Massa, the entire crew for Massa's car will do duty for Schumi, I guess.
