hey guys, i am having a garware sunfilm on my scorpio. i am not at all happy with the outcome.

is it easy & safe to peel off the current film & install a new one?

can you guys tell me which product from 3M will suit me? i want the darkest (strictly black coloured, no other colour or reflective type) LEGAL film from them. how much will it cost me? i am opting for 3M as garware is crap & V Kool is too expensive.

also, what about front windscreen film? how much will that cost?

finally, where is the 3M distributor here in mumbai? any address or number?

Its safe but not that easy to peel off the current film, just get it done by the installer. I had to remove my Llumar AIR 75 windscreen as it had dust inside.

I have a complete Llumar installation on my safari. Its Llumar Black 20 which is medium dark and AIR 75 on windscreen. If you want the darkest then try the Black 5 butnot sure whether it is LEGAL or not. The window film costed me around 2K and the windscreen costed 5K. I am satisfied with the end result as the heat has reduced a lot and there is a considerable change in the glare (You should keep the windscreen dust free to get the glare-free, otherwise its just the opposite).

Check the Llumar steel series also for window film which will cost you less than 3K.

Raj, the pricing is a very much dependent on the dealer. Try to get a quote for both Llumar and 3M and decide yourself. There are a lot of fakes available for sunfilm, so try to get it from a reputed dealer.

6K should be ok for Civic, it has got biggest windshield, Accord should be having same as well.

3M categorizes all cars in 4 segments (A,B,C,D) based on segment price gets changed.

ANHC comes under 'C' segment and for that price is 5,500 after discount.

I had got 3M CR 70 installed for my Octavia windshield last year. Cost me Rs 6000/-. I don't find much of a difference. It is definitely NOT WORTH.

Rxpaul, are you sure it was CR-70?
I find significant heat reduction with the same film on my car.
