Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Today bought a Jopasu car duster, magic wipe & complimentary shampoo in a pack for 640, also bought off the magic glove for 240 all from Reliance Autozone.

Used the duster on my dirty car, and it sure does magic, just picks up the dirt like no bodies business, the pack said that incase it stops picking up dust and wash with mild detergent but did not specify any brands.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Jopasu car duster is good. I have been using it for the past 2 months and have been happy with it. Initially I used to be irritated when I find dust but now, it is a joy trying to wipe the dust with this duster.

yeah, I had picked up the complete kit from Raliance Mart, near Arekere on yesterday. They have even single pieces and the combo kits also.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I bought my whole kit from Autozone@Reliance Mart, Arekere Gate about a month back. They should have stock there as well. If not, let me know as my office is bang next to Reliance Mart. I could pickup a piece and keep it for you if necessary.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I picked up the Jopasu Duster (one with handle) for 400 bucks at Konark Auto on East End main road Jayanagar on saturday, could get to use it only today, I was surprised that even on a black car the dust removal is flawless.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I am using Jopasu car duster for almost 8 months now. Initial days, it was picking up dust like majic. I was so happy with it. However, soon after 6 months of use, it got so dirty that I did not have any other option but to wash it.

I was actually confused what to do.

Jopasu actually says that you can wash, on the other hand, it claims "The more the duster becomes dirty, the more efficiently in cleans"

Finally, I washed with a good detergent.

End result: Now the duster does not pick up dust, it just brooms from 1 place to another.

I am totally frustrated now and hence planning to buy a new one.

Can anyone suggest any better alternatives?

^^^ all dusters work similarly.

the use of detergent washed away the wax coated on the threads. hence it lost its properties.

So what's the way out? Is my duster dead now? Can't I avoid buying a new one?

Also, is it that a duster can be used only for 8-12 months?

Guess you made a mistake by washing it, and that too with detergent.

There have been many reports in this thread about the decreased capability to pick dust once washed.

Better keep the duster dirty I guess and bear with it. Mine is only couple of months old and doesn't look all that dirty, let me see how it looks few months from now without washing.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Got a Jopasu myself last week. Impressed with it.

The maintenance disconnect seems to be that while the instructions on the duster explicitly mentions a wash with a mild detergent to clean the duster, users however are reporting that that is killing the duster. Someone should write to Jopasu, I guess.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I picked up the Jopasu kit a week back, got to know about it on this thread.

Works like magic. If it can last 8 months, its good enough and worth buying another.
