It is standard but does not come fitted from the factory. I chose not to have it installed on the bike and took them home as is.

Any bikes delivered from Langford/Marathalli/Indiranagar KTM?

I asked the dealership not to have them since it was a terrible piece of plastic,and a complete injustice to rest of the bike. Glad to see @psycho agrees too!

Yep. Heard that the plastic quality is pathetic on that. But it is a part of the standard equipment right? I would suggest to take them from the showroom and keep it with you. Why let the showroom guys keep it! Also knuckle guard helps in rain and winter rides. May come handy sometimes!

Both Psycho and Sri Ram,

Consider doing away with the front number plate once you are through with the RTO formalities.

I think you can live with a number sticker on the front mudguard, as has been done by one of the TBHPians in Bangalore on his FZ

Situation is pretty tight here in Pune. 2nd lot is of 5 bikes!!! mere 5 after the 1st 5 received in July.
When I talked to them their queue moved by 10 more due to cancellations or movement to other dealers.
They cant even assure that they will make the 90 day mark. No idea on delivery and they can't even give a tentative date. It's that bad... Too many exported unit i'd say.

Had been to the Mekhri Circle KTM today to pay the balance amount. 6 bikes arrived in a Eicher open truck. The guys were quick to unload the bikes into the garage. On road price is 213065 in Bangalore.
The RTO formalities will be completed by tomorrow and I can lay my hands on the beast the day after. After all the wait, it gets more agonising now.

The store have indeed kept up their word of delivering the bike within 90 days.

A reminder to everyone that the agreement signed by those who booked the bike stated a minimum of 90 days waiting. They are not contractually obliged to deliver the bikes within 90 days at all. The only thing that waiting beyond 90 days conveys is that if you cancel your book after waiting this long, you get a full refund of your booking amount without any cancellation 'fees' applied.

I'm not sure why some are saying that Bajaj is cutting it tight when they haven't given themselves a deadline.

This is not good news for me. I am well within this number and still don't have a motorcycle. I decided not to call them ever post booking and wait for the bike. It now looks like they have forgotten about me.

Same here Sandeep, same here. I just spoke to someone at Indiranagar KTM. Apparently they've delivered 20 bikes across all their branches. 6 have been delivered from Indiranagar KTM today. I'd really appreciate it if someone could corroborate this information. If guys like you and I've been shunted from our positions then we better know the reason why!

There were exactly 18 bikes delivered yesterday, 6 from each branch.

My brother was 5th on the list at Langford KTM and he got the delivery yesterday.

While I agree knuckle guards are not of the best finish and the orange ones of the KTM Power Parts for the 200 are lightyears ahead, knuckle guards do work and when they do, you would be glad you had them than not.

I have some Chinese after market black hand covers/flaps on the Bullet motocross (cross strut) handle. You can see them in my DP. Cost me some 400 odd bucks so you can imagine the quality etc. A week or so ago in heavy rains on the road behind my house I was overtaking an SUV that was hogging the entire carriage width of the road. When an oncoming sedan from the opposite side came too close and his right ORVM smashed into my right knuckle guard.

The guard took the impact, did not break (just bent downwards with the brake lever (which also did not break), and had barely two dents in the hard plastic. Most important - my fingers did not break (not even bruised). It was a hard solid whack and I was really glad that I had the knuckle guards that day.

And to add to this point, the knuckle guard also prevented the front brake lever from getting squeezed (in the middle of that overtake) due to the smack from that ORVM!
