Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Has the 4th quadrant of the ICU ever worked for anyone here? I have tried everything, but it just doesn't sync with my S6 Edge. For sure, S6 Edge is supported for MirrorLink as per the official website. Are there any other settings?

My bad! I just re-read what you quoted and you were spot on.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I have been having some issues with the media USB. The USB stick sometimes is not recognised and only after switching off the ignition and restarting does it get recognised. Anyone with similar experience? Radio and Aux in have been working fine.

At least not in my case Godfrey. USB media works like a charm and so does AUX. You should have this checked on your next visit to the service center.

I have an issue with the clock settings on the HU though. The time keeps resetting every now and then. I guess the battery needs replacement.

The clock does have a problem. The solution to this is to select 'GPS based' mode for the clock. It works perfectly. By default, the clock is set to Manual mode.

By the way, have you managed to use the MirrorLink? If yes, how did you do it? And what all apps do you see on the S-Cross screen? If you use an iPhone, then ignore.

I tried doing so in the very first week (I use a Moto X) and gave up after a couple of attempts. Will definitely let you know if I get through.

Is your USB stick greater than 32GB ? If the music system's firmware uses older universal mass storage code/driver then this could be cause of the issue. You have to switch to a lower capacity usb drive.

If I remember correctly, I heard from someone or read somewhere that it works with 1TB disk (I have not tried it myself yet.)

Should a Windows Phone user have any hopes?

I seriously doubt, but you should check with someone who knows the system in and out. Unfortunately, none of the RMs have any idea at all. May be you can call up the service center guys and ask them.

1.3: SAE 5W-30 - 3.2 Liter
1.6: SAE 0W-30 - 5.25 Liter
My eyes blinked after reading the figures in manual (page 11-4)

I found issues with USB drive formatted as boot drive (like OS restore / System backup drive). Absolutely zero problems with normally formatted drive - I've tried capacity up-to 32GB. Advice to do a fresh format (FAT32) and it should work without any problem.

Dear All
I have an ertiga with the carplay system. I am facing problem with carplay. I have taken up my problem with Maruti regional office.but sadly they dont have a solution till date.
My suggestion would be that you contact your MASS and tell them to forward the complaint to Maruti.
The system is manufactured by Bosch and the local MASS dont have a clue about it.

I ve been using a 1TB seagate HDD loaded to the brim till date. Works seamless . Even the Voice based Media search pulls out files in a Jiffy. Impressive stuff by Bosch
