Hi Sahil- The alloy do look drool. Also the spoiler give the car a sporty look. I tried to zoom into the picture. Are those 205/60 R16s?
I am going for the 17''. The alloys are a bit expensive at 58K. They are supposed to be 30% lighter then normal Lenzos.

yes those are 16 inch alloys with 205/60 rubber as I decided not to take any chances with suspensions.58k is quite expensive but if you have made your mind with those alloys then go ahead and don't listen to others as it will create more confusions I got my alloys for 33k. this alloys have increased the width of the tyre in my case.now it looks much wider from behind and front .maybe because of 0.5" increase in width over stock alloys.17" Momo costs around 50k last time I checked( since January prices have gone up considerably in case of momo's) I will suggest you to get demo first of whichever alloys you choose.
Goodluck with Urban Blue colour.needs more maintenance than others but Scross looks more classy with Urban Blue and Custom alloys combination

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Has any of the Scross owners tried out the alloys from the Vitara Breeza?

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

With the summer sun glaring, I am finding it hard to continue to drive with the dashboard reflection on the windshield; has anyone been able to fix this reflection problem? I am planning to check with 3M over the coming weekend, if they have some options.

Quality of music also depends on the Quality of the file. If you are playing crappy 128 kbps or lower mp3 files then it is expected to be bad. Technically the USB audio will be better than Aux in since the former is a Direct Digital to Analog conversion, whereas the latter is just an Analog Input (since DAC conversion happens inside the ipod).

While the overall Music quality is nothing to write home about, the fact that it plays WAV directly of USB is one good thing. Try ripping original CDs in uncompressed format and play it.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Does anyone have definite information on the S-Cross'es Petrol Version launch details? I would be interested in a Petrol Version with a CVT transmission ( I know I am asking for too much).

They look nice. All black alloys are relatively easy to maintain as well I've heard. Not sure how true that is. Regardless, I am sure these will look stunning when fitted.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Anyone like to give their view on this sporty car pedal set? I am planning to install this in Scross. Any negative effects on driving? Buyers quite happy with their purchase.

When is the petrol version coming? 1.0 boosterjet or 1.4 boosterjet?

A rear end comparison between S-Cross & Terrano, when I visited my cousin some time back.

S-Cross looks pretty good. Right?

Came across this article in Overdrive about suspension niggles in Scross, just wanted fellow scross owners to be aware of the same.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

My DDIS320 was on a highway trip last week.

On the return leg, observed good FE for about 250kms with 3 digit cruising.
Route - Zirakpur - Delhi.

DDIS is a very efficient motor. Second to only Ford 1.5 TDCi.

Hi kpzen, Very good FE for DDiS320. Yes, it gives wonderful economy if driven not exceeding ~110KMPL.

I got 24-25KMPL for my 200DDiS during my Bangalore-Mumbai round trip. This was with 100% AC @24 degC. Some stretches the FE was 26-27.

This was an interesting read. Thanks for sharing. The cause of the reported problem is a surprise. I wonder if some of the vibration-related niggles reported by members here is related to the problems faced by the Overdrive team.

I'd imagine Maruti would have done its homework better when it comes to setting up suspensions for Indian road conditions. Crossovers like the S-Cross are likely to encounter bad roads more than a Swift/Ciaz/Baleno, so I hope Maruti makes changes to the S-Cross suspension ASAP.

If I were in Maruti's shoes, I'd issue a recall to ensure the safety of S-cross's out there.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

After multiple highway trips, I have found that 1.6 is stable up to 130 kmph, after which the steering starts becoming vague. Maruti should have done some homework in such a capable engine.
