I also have a close to dead battery that I will be replacing - I wanted one confirmation from folks here - the car's manual says battery is DIN55L the actual physical battery says it is DIN50MLF - is this the same?
I got my both the key fobs battery replaced at Sai service, Wagholi on Saturday. They do have it in stock.
Regarding the battery, these are the options I see-

P.S- My 1.6 too needs a battery replacement, will be going with Amaron for sure.

I also noticed this recently. Whenever My 20 months old Zeta hits a pothole the impact is transferred to the cabin with abnormal sound - especially from the back side. Feels like there is no shock absorption. I thought its an issue with only my car and now I have company.

Yes, the suspension action has definitely reduced. I am planning to escalate it during my 40k km service. I also find that rear suspension is more harder now.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I had posted here before about imported rear brake pads in S-Cross. Posting few more details, thanks to fellow S-Cross owner Mr. Bharat for the pics.

These are SGP, made in Japan. The brand is NBK and priced at Rs. 5890. Quality looks much better than the front pads which are locally made by TVS.

80K Service Bill. Got my car serviced last week, no major complaints. I have been advised to get the rear brake pads replaced in few thousand kms.

From the service bill you posted, engine oil used is Mobil 1, Grade 0W40 synthetic.
Just curious if this oil grade is recommended in your S-Cross owners manual and if you've been using this over the last 80k km.

Manual recommended is 5W30. I switched to 0W40 at 10K during the first oil change as suggested by MASS. Moved to Mobil 1 0W40 from 20K. Been using Mobil 1 0W40 since then, I don't prefer the drums so I tell my MASS to arrange a sealed pack a day prior to the service.

For the last couple of days, android auto is not responding for Gaana / Amazon music for the voice commands. Rest of other things, voice command works perfectly. (Like, direction, weather, top headlines etc). What could be the problem?

Had some sort of starting issue today. 3 year completed. Odo 55K. Battery still running the old one. Issue was the car was not starting properly. Engine was getting on and running in 200-300 rpm only and not gaining higher rpm. Almost all indicators on the MID was getting ON. (Battery /ABS etc.). This was just after re-fueling. The same shell outlet where I'm filling fuel for the last 6 years. The same problem repeated for 4-5 times and if I started to move the car the engine gets off. (Naturally, engine cannot take load on 200-300rpm). Then, 6th time it got started and was running perfectly fine.

After this, reached home and tried on/off multiple times. No issues at all. What could have been the issue?

Anyways, will take the car this weekend for checking. The steering wheel also having a little jerky movement on either side from center point. It is not smooth. Noticed last Sunday on the way back from Kerala to Bangalore. The little jerky movement is clearly noticeable at higher speeds.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Is there a way to permanently disable the Auto Start-stop? Or it needs to be done every time you start the car?

55K kms and 3 years battery indicates that you may need to replace your battery. Lights turning on does not necessarily mean battery is in good shape. You can first bring a battery repair fellow to check the voltage and current flow, especially during engine start. If found insufficient then I would first change the battery and then check next options if the problem persists, because old battery and start problems can land us in trouble in strange and unforeseen circumstances.
Wondering if the steering is EPS and therefore could the battery be at fault for the jerks on the steering?

Apart from the checks suggested by others, do check the fuel filter too. Clogged fuel filters can cause engine to starve.

Thanks Rajesh and Rahul.
Will be taking the car for checking tomorrow even though the starting problem did not appear after that incident. Steering is still little stiff near the centre and that needs correction.

Also, changed the tyres today. The new shoes are Michelin P3 ST. Size is same. 205/60 R16 92V. All May 2018 tyres.
Old JK elanzo ran 55K. There was another 15-20K left on that tyres. But, replaced.

Went to Tyre empire, Whitefield. Very good service. Total bill for 4 tyres with Michelin paddock club (There are some good offers) / Wheel alignment / Road force balancing / weights / 4 tubeless valves came to 37K.

Rs. 1000 amazon gift card and a Rs. 2500 backpack also received as a part of package.
Got a value of Rs. 800 for old tyres (4 Nos).

Took the car to Bimal Mahadevpura today. My service advisor was on leave.
The person took the test drive acknowledged the stiffness of steering wheel. Suspected issue on steering column/Motor.
Need to have a detailed inspection once the Service advisor is back.

I'm having the extended warranty. Hope this will be covered under that.

Will update once the exact problem is diagnosed and remedial action is taken.
