Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

How the Innova bridges the gap between a MPV and a SUV. That hill climb says it all!!

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

Purchased an Innova Crysta Vx last month and it has already completed 1500 km. More than happy with the mileage.

On a recent trip I was getting approx 20kmpl with sedate driving and managed close to 16kmpl for a mix of spirited plus sedate driving.

Is that with an automatic? I got a G AT last month. In about 1700kms, I'm getting an average of 8.4 kms max, most of it has been city drive only.

No, it is a diesel manual variant.

If its the diesel you are talking about, then I think thats slightly on the lower side. The worst that I have got in a tank so far is 9.6kmpl. In normal city traffic with a few signals and in between moving traffic we manage around 11-13 in case of free flowing traffic. Only if you are talking about crawling traffic with hardly 10-20kmph of speed, then its expected that FE takes a hit especially because the Torque converter saps some power in lower gears, and then your DPF regenerates much earlier hence consuming more fuel.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

I'm getting between 8.3 and 8.6 in regular Gurgaon traffic with the Innova Diesel G automatic. Is yours an automatic too?

In the same traffic, my manual XUV500 gives about 12kmpl.

Toyota service says don't expect much, everything is ok.

We own a 2017 December manufactured Innova crysta touring sport 2.8 diesel automatic. Speed sensing lock is indeed present for us.

This was there in top spec since day 1 as I know, some of the features trickled down to GX and VX at later point. Our GX 2017 was bare bones, in 2018 they added music system, height adjustable driver seat, speed sensing lock, steering controls and rear seat armrest.

Probably those who have the GX without speed sensing lock must explore the option of configuring at the dealership or using Techstream. Should not be a hardware difference IMO. Speed sensor will anyway be present and central locking too. Should be a matter of BCM configuration only.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

Toyota hikes prices by 4% from April.
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...w/90457963.cms
Innova and Fortuner prices may go up to 34L and 54L respectively in Bangalore. This is atrocious..!

My Innova delivery is supposed to happen by 31 March. Worried that I will get the car at new prices if this is delayed.

The Bangalore OTR prices are a joke.
Would suggest you to have a talk with the dealer on the price and ways it can be locked prior to delivery

How are you able to achieve this? Because my Innova Crysta VX is giving 12.5 kmpl city and 13.5 on the highway. Mine is a BS4 variant.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

Can anyone tell why the reverse lights of both right and left side are different. Left is white and right is red? Is this normal?

VX and ZX variants of the Crysta get a rear fog light in place of the right reverse light. GX variant continues with two reverse lights (like it was since launch).

This one reverse light and one foglight has been the case since September 2018.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

My Innova Crysta 2.4 Z delivery is expected this week. I finalized on some accessories and was checking with Dealer for Audio upgrade options (I want to retain the ICE but upgrade speakers, tweeters, amplifiers and sub woofer).

As usual Dealer discouraged any Audio upgrade outside and mentioned that they can offer an upgrade at Dealer itself where folks from Infinity will do the upgrade. For a higher speaker profile of Infinity Kappa, the cost he mentioned was whooping 1.32 lakhs after discount. I have asked him to get a demo car where such upgrade is done to check.

1) Is it worthwhile to get such an update at Dealer at this price point?
2) Is it okay to get the upgrade done outside which might offer reasonable pricing? Are there some references available where such an upgrade was done for Innova Crysta? I came across this thread where similar upgrade was done (but including ICE) - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/car-e...ndroid-hu.html (Audio upgrade in my Innova Crysta | Infinity & Brazo amp, subwoofer, components, Android HU)
