You can also consider the one in the below quoted pic. It is Rs 500 more expensive than the carpet ones, but covers the floor better. You might miss the plush feeling though. I bought the regular ones.

Registered for the Jeep trails. I feel it's a decent package. And the support FCA gives to such programmes is tremendous.

Once in a life time trail... Wish more Jeepers from here will join the Ladakh trail

I am also thinking of registering.

Do you have any number of the organisers?Tried finding out in the link.Just need to clarify certain things.

1)I have a Petrol AT 4*2.Is 4*4 mandatory?
2)Can 3 adults go?I can see they have mentioned 3 adults but accommodation is for 2 adults.
3)Is there a refund?I have read that refund will be there provided cancelled 10 days prior to the event.Just need that confirmation.
4)I live in Kolkata and this will start from Manali. Is there any arrangement to transport the car to Manali(with additional cost)? If not, will drive from here.

I guess 4x4 won't be mandatory.Anyway i'll try to confirm. For Goa trails, both 4x4 and 4x2 did almost the same tracks, though some tougher ones were ear marked for the 4x4

Three adults can go.But only one room with an extra bed will be provided

Refund I'm not sure

There's a plan for FCA to help in shipping. No final details available.Might depend on the geographic distribution of registrants

It's better to register early- limited cars only allowed due to accommodation constraints

Quoting my own post -

I had a word with SA and all the 2017 cars have been sold.

And I was just checking the sale numbers of compass, even after the massive discount, the numbers in April 2018 were less than 2k units.

Feels like the initial Euphoria is somewhat subsiding.

I have now registered for this event.

Shipping will help since it will take me atleast a couple of days for me to drive from Kolkata to Manali.

Are you planning to drive from Kozhikode to Manali?I am planning to reach on 16th Jun evening(probably will drive from Kolkata-Allahabad-Karnal-Manali) if there is no shipping.

Has anyone else from team bhp registered for the Ladakh trail?

If there's shipping, might ship it to Chandigarh

If there's no shipping, haven't decided what to do. Whether to drive or to ask a driver to take it to Delhi/ Chandigarh

Anyway to plan to reach be 16th evening at Manali

You can contact me at 9846239781

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

As I pour over every last thing I can find about the compass, I found something really quirky that to the best of my knowledge, hasn't been mentioned here yet.

If you jump to 7.28 in this video, you'll see that pulling up on the rear seat power window switches simultaneously (in the driver's console) activates the wipers.

Can the owners/reviewers confirm?

Another Easter Egg or just a typical-of-FCA kink?

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

Jeep showroom called saying there is yet another software update. While it was just the ECU update last time around (which resolved lagging after cold start), they said that this time it is:
  • radio
  • bluetooth
  • 4x4 performance
  • climate control

Leaving aside the usual lament of how disturbing it is that cars are becoming like smartphones, it is good to see that FCA is proactive in making improvements to the car.

Also, I have been meaning to ask - people have reported on previous pages that lossless audio formats are supported via USB (another seemingly inconsequential must-have for me), I would also be glad to know if UConnect supports LDAC and/or aptX/aptX HD for high quality bluetooth audio?
