Problem faced:

‘I currently own a 2019 Harrier XZ and it has been used by my Dad since a couple of months. So far we have encountered two faults and one instance during which there was no ignition and my parents were stranded on the middle of the road.’
This is indeed a concern for me as well, but, so far I have not seen this issue with anyone else's car, I am in a group of Harrier owners, and have not heard of anyone else facing this issue.

The other issues, mentioned in the thread are related to infotainment screen, again, some of them are more than a year old and have already been rectified. For the new ones a couple of the guys have reported the infotainment restart issue.

There are other one-off issues, but, its not common, I mean in the group, we have a couple of guys who have completed 50k kms already. What I am getting at is that there are no cars without issues and, for me, Harrier brings more than enough benefits to the table that I can live with the niggles I have faced (a couple of infotainment hangups in the first 2k kms).

He was facing a warning ' low oil pressure ' , there are some possibilities for this , off course it is not related to service due , Harrier got a dedicated reminder for that.

*Damaged oil sump with some unfortunate off-roading ,huge pot holes or any unprecedented projectiles.

*Damaged/Malfunctioning oil pump.

*Damaged/Clogged oil filter , no idea regarding the placement/position of the filter in Harrier , owners can throw some light here.

*Oil leak or loss due to above mentioned or similar causes.

*Faulty sensor - needs warranty replacement .

Re: 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic : Official Review

Completed 1600 kms on my Harrier XZA+ CAMO with my recent trip to Kodai and to my home town. Camo green color is hard to maintain and even little bit of dust is highlighted on this color.

Gave it for a was in a small carwash center in my hometown. Only after couple of days I noticed the lid for DEF(ad-blue fluid container)missing. Enquired with couple of TASC's in kerala (Hyson Trissur and another one in palakkad) but none of them were able to find this part listed in the spare catalogue. According to them, its the complete tank set that is listed with an MRP of some 28000 rs.

Called the service center back in chennai, and they asked me to keep it closed with some plastic cover with rubber band so that dust particles don't enter the DEF tank which might create some issues. Need to check for the same once I am back in Chennai.

The picture with the lid was sent by my friend who booked the harrier along with me.

Is there any other part that can be used for this purpose ?

Hello Harsha,

I'm planning to book a Harrier XZA+ within the next 2-3 months. I'm confused with the color choices. Sparkle Cocoa was the one that I wanted but Tata has discontinued it recently. Are you sure that Telesto Grey comes with a Dual Tone option from the factory ?

DT option is only for white and red.

Sparkle Cocoa was a wonderful colour. I had to settle for grey which doesn't seem as good. The Camo does look nice though.

Hello,
I was informed by my sales advisor that it is indeed available, but let me double check and get back to you on that.

Your best bet is to do some trial and error with threaded caps of different sizes.

Based on my experience with Tata service centers, don't trust them blindly about parts. My Zest's compression spring for driver seat adjustment was broken and when approached TASS, it was not listed in their parts catalogue for Zest, and told that I need to change the entire driver seat. I searched in Boodmo app and found a similar spring in Tiago, which was a shared part with Zest. I provided the part number to TASS and they ordered the part which was a perfect fit, and costs only around rs250. Please ensure, they have checked the parts for BS6 Harrier.
From Oriparts, I found the following parts for Harrier, please check if it fits.
Urea tank
Doser unit assy- part no: 572949200101
Protective cover doser unit- part no: 572949203301

Re: 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic : Official Review

Tata Harrier Diesel Automatic Sales - More Than 50% Of Total Sales.

Quote:
Tata Harrier Diesel automatic sales now comprise more than 50% of total sales. Such news at this point also means how crucial will the Gravitas launch be.

The Harrier, which was initially launched in 2019, had a very slow start in terms of the sales figures. Lack of an automatic gearbox option, ergonomic issues along with lots of niggles meant that the Harrier did have to face a lot of struggle in finding itself new homes.

The Tata Harrier diesel automatic sales mean that the launch of the Gravitas will have to be done properly. If Tata Motors can go all out at the time of the Gravitas launch then they would be in with a great chance to capture the 7 seater SUV market that has been suffering from stagnation due to the current vehicles on sale being outdated now.

Please inform us regarding this very important information, as soon as possible.
As per my SA, this colour option ( grey & black, dual tone) isn't available. Even I wanted to book this colour. But instead had to choose Red & Black.
Also, I myself couldn't find this colour option of grey & black listed anywhere. Neither on online portals, nor in the brochure.

Awaiting eagerly for your response.

Re: 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic : Official Review

There's a youtuber who tests the BS6 Harrier- Both manual and Automatic.

He claims the Manual is faster to 100 cause it hits 100kmph in 2nd gear as compared to the Auto which hits it in 3rd gear.

His name is Faisal Khan. I like his reviews - lighthearted but very detailed and we get the drive review behind the wheel.

On other things, wonder if the left knee fouling with the console has been sorted out in the Bs6?
